right.

Gotta love the Lakers silliness -- no matter what the poll is enough Lakers fanboys will show up to jam their teams name in amongst all the desrving squads.

Other than that one exception, the 4 teams listed are the class of the contenders I think, so I feel no particular need to go on over there and distort their poll.

I agree, Bricklayer. Other than the Lakers, which is ridiculous, that list looks about right. Spurs should be odds on favorites with Miami having the best chance (at this point) to come out of the East. Now, my favorites would be Pacers and Kings. Pacers could pull it out in the East...and I certainly hope so. The Kings representing the West just isn't going to happen (with this squad). I expect them to make the playoffs, but they cannot get out of the 2nd round (even if they can win the 1st round). I am not going to go vote for our Kings because that would just distort the poll (as Brickie said).

yeah but the mavs just crushed the spurs yesterday.....

what about the clippers? the only 3-0 team in the western conference.....

I wouldn't say that. Good seedings, a good draw, and some good luck could get us to the WCF. Say, beating Dallas, Phoenix, Denver, Utah, or some other team to advance and get the honors of being the last team in the west to fall to the Spurs.

Anyone think the Suns have a shot? They are damn good and they will be getting Amare back with plenty of time before the playoffs. They certainly have a better chance than the Lakers, and I think I see them as better than the Pacers too...

the heat? the heat aren't contenders....i mean, you cant win an NBA championship with 0 outside shooters. They'll barely even be top 4 in the east.

1. Indiana
2. Detroit
3. Cleveland
4. Miami

They are still ahead of Cleavland though..............

i sincerely doubt it, LeBron will have a MVP caliber season and will nearly average a triple double...also they are probably now the best inside-outside team in the east, and probably second in that category in the league to San Antonio with all the awesome free agent signings and resignings they made

And Miami hasn't made any changes either?

Maimi is ahead of Lebron James team because when they are healthy they have a dominant team.

uh, when did i say Miami has made no moves? They've made moves, but horrible ones.

They got a low-percetage shooting, inconsistent point-guard (J-Will) and dumped an awesome shooting perfect-fit for the system point-guard (Damon Jones). They lost another one of their premier scorers and second-best shooter in Eddie Jones, and they traded away their best shooter off the bench, Rasual Butler. All they got in return for those two was Antoine Walker who will chuck up a lot of errant three's and maybe grab a few rebounds.

They just simply have no shooters anymore. Their off-season moves were horrible. If Dwayne Wade wasn't injured they would've made the Finals and most likely won if he was completely healthy. The GM of Miami half-destroyed an extremely successfull well-shooting team and replaced it with a bunch of guys the rest of the league didn't want.
