Special K and A1 are my favorites, especially A1!!!

So then, if I were to ask him for an autograph and specify that he sign it "Peanut Head," I take it he'd be upset?

Besides, leaking a nickname is not a bad thing in and of itself. Leaking an embarrasing nickname to ME is a horrible idea. I have a knack for finding out a person's most hated family nickname and never calling them anything else.

I will also come out and say flat out, I was wrong in my assessment of Kevin Martin. I thought he was NBDL quality, and would never make it in the NBA. Once Bonzi went out Kevin has played just fantastic, and the fact he just turned 23 on feb 1st means he has alot of time to mature, improve, and succeed in the NBA. When he starts he puts up like 15-17pts gm, 5-6rbs, 2-3assists, 1steal, shoots over 50%, and is like close to 90% from the line. Kevin Martin will easily be a guy who will scored 20+ pts a game in a year or two. Wow Petrie has made two great draft picks very very late in the draft, and if we get ourselves a high pick this year top 10- hopefully he will get us a young power foward.

Just wanted to make sure the facts are accurate, and for that I will inform all that Kevin was actually the 24th pick in the draft, and not the 26th. ??? No, he was the 26th pick.

Gee, I don't have any idea when he was drafted. Let me see if I can find a link:rolleyes:

Oh golly, look at that, #26.

*ok, not fair editing your post telling me I didn't know what the hell I was talking about so that my sarcastic comment doesn't make sense!

Kingsgurl if it makes you feel any better, you were right about his draft selection, and I was wrong. You also were right about kevins potential while everybody was ragging on him in nov-dec, and I was wrong bc I vastly undermined his ability to play in the NBA. If I am wrong I will admit it

Kingsgurl is my bestest friend. I could say she's above all of that. That it doesn't matter to her if she was right and you were wrong.

I could say that, but it would be a lie. KG spotted Martin before he was even drafted. She picked him in a mock draft over at bleachermob.com She has always maintained that the rest of us would soon discover what she had already come to know...

I'm pretty sure she's too modest to say any of that, so I'm just saying it for her.

:D

haha, that might be a possiblity, but I am confident that Kevin will remain consistent. It seems when he starts he almost always gets double digit points with only 5-8 shots a game.

Hopefully I wont be wrong on my prediction he will remain consistent:D

And now we have probably jinxed the poor young man into a string of sub-par games

That would generally be referred to as a "road trip" for Kevin. He's got a few more at home before he has to worry about that again:

Home
22gms 23.7min 10.8pts (.520 .436 .842) 3.1reb 1.2ast 0.8stl 0.1blk

Road
20gms 24.2min 8.0pts (.430 .324 .875) 3.9reb 1.0ast 0.6stl 0.2blk

Hmm, what the team breakdown for road and home? Odd, he appears to shoot worse and rebound better

I think we should petition the league to only play in ARCO.

G3- fire off an e-mail to mendoza@arcoarena.com. He's in charge of marketing. I'm sure he would love the input. It seems to be working for the T-Shirts, I'm now told they will finally be in this Thursday

Well, at least he answers his email. Here is Steve Mendoza's response:

(6th) inserted for real name,

Thanks for your email and your valuable feedback.. I am working with my
suppliers to get more Kevin Martin products quickly. We have ordered T-Shirts and they
should arrive by this Thursday 2-9-06. Also, we should have Jerseys in the near
future. In the meantime, many fans are purchasing Kevin Martin jerseys through
our Custom Jersey Program.

Thanks,

Steve
