Vlade is dirty!

I haven't seen it but i heard that it was obvious that it was intentional cuz he looked right at Shawn and then did...normally I wouldn't condone something like this but it was Shawn Bradley

Anthony Johnson of the Indy Pacers was suspended a game for punching Alonzo Mourning during yesterdays game...

:shakes head:

I haven't seen it, I was watching the 79 NCAA title game on BSPN Classic. Have you ever known Vlade to do something like that?

Being that it was Bradley, I'm not surprised someone did it, I'm just surprised that could've come from Vlade. Bradley is one of the biggest scum in the league as far as baiting opponents with hacks and sharp elbows. There have been a number of players who took the bait too. Who was the guy that bodyslammed him? That was funny as hell.

Not much of a way to cap off a career.

Of course on the other hand, maybe he figured he'd get in one last lick since it didn't matter anyway.

I was watching the game for lack of anything better to do and it was VERY OBVIOUS. To me it defintely looked like Vlade knew what he was doing. I even told my hubby that he would be suspended, especially if the league did it to Corliss (not even close to being as obvious as Vlade) and I believe Nocioni who elbowed Teyshaun Prince
(again not even close to being as obvious as Vlade) and got suspended. I agree with assesment. I love Vlade and I was surprised to see it happening. My jaw dropped so much my husband got a little turned on.

I haven't seen it, although I would like to. Bradley is a dirty player and gets away with it all the time. If Vlade played enforcer on Bradley, I'm thinking, "Hurray for Vlade." I know, I know, that is not a good attitude to take, but sometimes people push you past your limits, and Bradley has definitely pushed me past mine on more than one occasion. :o ;)

I have always disliked Shawn Bradley...plus I HATE the Mavs so I say..GO VLADE! What does he have to lose anyway?

Oh Daniela...you are always sayin something out of the blue to crack me up!! I read that and just about choked on my jello pudding!! :D

Naw...this wasn't a hard foul, or even a message being sent -- this was just a cheap shot from the blindside. I didn't really see anything to justify it either. No more admirable if Vlade does it then if Fortson does.

Could it have been payback for something that happened earlier?

I'm stunned. I would never have believed Vlade would do something like that.

I didn't see anything, but maybe I missed something. Just looked like Vlade suddenly decided to take him out by stepping into a big forearm to the side of the head. Play hadn't even been that heated. Bradley never saw it coming.

Was watching the game with a friend and both of our reactions were "what the hell was that?".

Suspended two games for elbowing Shawn Bradley in the head on Sunday. ;)

Seriously.
i think everyone gets pissed off at bradley.... remember when mark davis bodyslammed shawn... oh yeah and when the wizard (walt williams) threw a punch at shawns face when shawn elbowed him... must be sumthing that pees off ppl when it comes to bradley

I've watched Vlade Divac his entire career. I have NEVER seen him do anything like that and the only way I could even begin to conceive of it happening would be if it was some kind of retaliation for something Bradley had done earlier, most likely to Vujacic or one of the other smaller guys.

This is just totally out of character for Vlade - and there has to be more to the story.

I'm with you. To me it's more logical to assume that there was more here than meets the eye than to assume that Vlade's personality changed in less than a year.

I haven't seen it but Vlade did push Turkoglu last season vs the Spurs. Remember? Hedo fouled him, not even hard and Vlade got ticked off and pushed him.

I suspect there is a back story to it it as well. Maybe Vlade is jsut sick of Morman Missionaries just dropping by on Sat mornings?

I see nothing wrong with elbowing Bradley. He does it all the time.
Additionaly - Finley was there anyways = mitigating circumstances

Dirty or not, I'm having a real tough time feeling sorry for Shawn Bradley...which reminds me: Why did the little aliens from "Space Jam" choose Bradley as one of the NBA players to steal "talent" from?
