So now some of you are going to turn your venom on Brad and/or Bibby?

Good lord.

This is a TEAM. A team wins; a team loses.

I cannot believe that there are some people saying we should trade Brad and that Bibby sucks.

What the heck is wrong with you? Sorry, but this isn't a video game or some stupid fantasy league! It's the NBA.

Instead of rejoicing over all the energy, excitement, potential, etc. we saw tonight, the thing you want to do the most is bag on Mike Bibby and demand that Brad Miller be traded?

You haven't even seen our real starting five yet and you have to find a way to take shots at our team?

That just totally boggles my mind.

IT'S OUR TEAM!

Why not enjoy what we saw tonight, warts, wrinkles, and all, instead of changing your signatures to demand that Brad be traded and making lame comments about Mike Bibby's poor performance tonight?

REMINDER: This is from Vladefan21, Kings fan since 1985.

A lot of you have made a big deal of talking about loyalty and respect from the players. How about showing some of those same things TO THOSE PLAYERS??????

Well, Bibby did have an awful game, it is no knock on him he's been superb for the Kings. Without him we'd have won like 10 games so far... Players have bad nights... As far as Brad being traded I just think some people got carried away. They saw athleticism and DEFENSE for the first time and it consequently came when Brad was out. Whether or not that was a factor remains to be seen. I agree, the Kings can't just ship everyone off, loyalty is a huge factor. As much as I complain about B Mills awful rotation and defense, he is still a great guy and teamate and has been loyal to the fans. Let's not ship out all the guys with good character. As far as reputation is concerned we have very few left under that category.

Well, someone has to be next. The Webber syndrome

sad, pathetic but unavoidable

world is full of hypocryts who praised Brad just a weekg ago etc. And now they want his "head." He was good enough when he made all star and we won 50+ for the last couple years.

Amen, brother. (VF21)

By the way, could somebody describe the ovation for Artest? How did the fans respond? Could you feel Arco loving him more and more as the game progressed? I had no access to the game and really want a good description of this. Any Boos or signs?

I agree with you VF. Brad and Mike do a lot for this team and defense is contagious. They can get better on that now that they have a DPOY on the team(Artest). We all know they are very skilled and saying they should be traded because a bad game by one and a win while the other was out is foolish. It is a team, teams win together and lose together. We need to wait till we get our starting five together, unless Petrie got an awesome deal offered to him which is unlikely. We are all kings fans, we all want this team to win. People should enjoy the win, not rip our players.

Agreed. One bad night for Bibby and four 40 point games mean nothing? Brad anchoring our team on offense and he should go because he's not a banger?

Not that I've actually SEEN any of the bashing in question, but if people are out there doing it... for shame.

Totally ridiculous... When they won 50 games the offense ran through the big men, and passing was a MAJOR point in the attack. Not only that but the Kings needed a shooting big man to make their offense work. This team is COMPLETELY different and as far as Brad goes some people question whether he fits in THIS team. Stick Kobe on the Detroit Pistons and all of a sudden the Pistons don't have as good of record, and may be questioned by the fans, but stick him on the Lakers and he'll recieve praise. This is a completely different team. But I don't think Brad should be traded unless it's a deal that they just can't refuse. The guy is AUTOMATIC from 15 feet and a hell of a passer. He is a semi-decent rebounder, with awful rotation. There are ALOT of worse centers out there. Like it or not the Kings offense did not look very smooth out there, and Brad provides offensive stability. I'm sure there are people that complain when Camby's shot is off. Everyone has negatives. We need good character on this team, and if things go sour those that have questionable character may turn this team into the Portland Trailblazers...

Brad and Mike practically won some of our games for us on their own. They got relied on way too much and can use some backup. They've got it now with Artest and Bonzi back.

Bibby was good enough for the win tonight, that's what counts. Glad to see him only play 36 minutes for a change. He and Brad couldn't hold it together forever. When players get tired they get hurt.

The team has some passion now, it's great to see.

We have had a lousy year (overall) so far. We have learned to complain about everything and everybody. Well, now some key changes have been made.

1. We got Artest
2. Bonzi has returned
3. Kevin and Cisco got some quality playing time.
4. Shareef will be back (at full strength) soon.
5. Bibby stepped up and carried the team with scoring.

I could go on and on. Maybe it is time to stop complaining about what is wrong, and to give this new TEAM a chance.

Like VF21, I am pretty sick of all the belly-aching from Kings fans (myself included). We saw a fantastic, entertaining game by the Kings tonight. Celebrate it!! Get off the *****ing for awhile. Stop being so d*** critical all the time and take time to ENJOY what we have!!

Just because some people want Brad traded does not mean those people are disrespecting the player. I think Brad is a good center but not one who I think can lead us to a championship. He is not the right fit for this team. We need a center who can rebound and defend and hecan do neither ,I am afraid, consistently. Also as I recall the majority of people on this board who thinks we need to go in another direction with our team have been bringing this up all year long. Just because Pedja(a main target of trades with fans) left does not mean we are just going after another target because Pedja's gone. No a lot of people want to improve this team I am sure the majority of fans want our team to turn into championship caliber team and a lot of people see the need for us to get better defensively in order to do it and that means trading some players along the way.

Brad sucks! We need to trade him now while his value is still high.

Sac trades:

Brad Miller

Chi trades:

Tim Thomas

Why for Sac: Brad sucks

Why for Chi: They may not know Brad has lost it since he was last there.

Wait, this is the trade thread right.....

i am new to this site but i still dont understand how u people turn so fast. It is like a fantasy team with all the posts. i like how vf finally stood up and tried to stop this a bit. This has not been the best year for this team granted but you cant trade people on a bad game. Start skinner? they guy has not played all year and you are willing to give him kt's spot ( 7 double doubles this month and a triple doube) and sar who has not been playing cause a broken jaw

yea...if some of u are complaining i would seriously have to question what the problem is....other than just being so personally bitter u cant be happy lest ur complaining and trying to make others unhappy as well...i guess misery does love company....

do u guys realize how close to being really good u are right now????? u just beat a solid playoff team with two of ur best players(ron and bonzi) rusty and trying to get back in game shape, bibby has a bad nite, and miller was out injured....

seriously.....let that register...

ur team was crap not to long ago, sorry if that hurts.....the maloofs pulled off the deal of the century....they just reinvigorated the team and the fanbase, while giving the team exactly what they needed....

uve now got all the pieces u need to be a playoff team noone wants to play....now hopefully adelman figures out what the best way to utilize them is....and i really am hopeful he sees the need to make the right calls so this team can be a force on the defensive end....because they now can be if they do things correctly....

im a pacers fan, and im so jealous right now, its sickening....the future is bright in sacramento....

not so bright in indy...

Ok I have my villiger out fit and the torches and pitch forks redy, so who's castel are we storming tonight?

:D :D Well said HndsmCelt!!!! I was thinking along the same lines; just a bit earlier to the times of the Romans and Gladiators. If it were up to some here--on any given night all our Kings would have had a thumbs down and been thrown to the lions.

My only problem with Miller is that his game is affected negatively when he gets upset (which is a lot, and his pout is annoying).

Now if Brad had injured his thumb in the layup line, I might have gotten worried.

He's a great asset to the team. He would have helped tonight, though I'm glad SKinner got some more time.

ohhh please... Are you kidding me? The Pacers are one of the best teams in the East despite their record. They have Danny Granger who I would die to have on this team and have a better all around defensive team. Their coach likes playing defense and the players listen to him. The Kings are just now starting to learn the basics of what defense could do for you...

lol..u obviously havent seen the pacers play in a while....the pacers are no where near one of the best teams in the East right now....not even close...

granger is great....u got that part right....of course we have a coach that has a hangup with playing young players...so even that is tempered at times....

case in point....cleveland game 2 nites ago...granger has the best game of any pacer...hes 3 of four from three point range....pacers last possession...they need a three....rick pulls him...

go figure....

trust me....noone knows better....the pacers plight is dismal right now...JO is out, probably for most of the rest of the season....

ive said it before...the kings will probably make the playoffs and the pacers will probably miss the playoffs....

Definitely this trade has the potential to be the steal of the year.

I saw Peja tonite, and thats about what you can expect, alot of running around off screens struggling to get an open look.

In retrospect, the Pacers should have done to Artest what the Kings did to Peja two summers ago: When he requested a trade, they did not acknowledge it. They scoffed at it, and refused to allow the transitory feelings of a player to dictate the direction of their franchise.

Petrie took the stance, "You are a member of the Sacramento Kings. You are free to air your grievances, but you are under contract and it is your responsibility to be a professional, and play." As it turned out, Peja showed up, and made the best of his circumstances.

If the Pacers would have taken the same stance with Artest, who knows????
Artest may have decided he was happy there, his comments to the press were out of frustration and nothing else, and they could be closely chasing the Pistons right now.

At least his trade value would not have plummetted.

Instead, Donnie Walsh and Larry Bird got their egos bruised, with the reaction "How could you do this to US, after all WE have done for you, how could you betray US this way." And decided he must go.

Reminds me of the saying: "Don't cut your off your nose to spite your face."

I have heard the argument differences were irreconcilible, he had go, he had burned his bridges. Suspending him was the beginning of the end, and the Pacers management chose to do this, not Artest.
