It's been quite a while since I posted some of my favorite sites, so here we go:

1. Kids love frogs. This link goes to part of the American Museum of Natural History, where you'll find frogs of every color in the rainbow, from the Blue Dart Poison Frog to the Golden Yellow Frog.

2. This next one was referred to me by a friend who used to work in tech support. The Chronicles of George is a hilarious tribute from a bitter tech support employee to an inept co-worker. This has some laugh-out-loud funny parts, so be forewarned if you're accessing it from work - especially if you work in tech support. http://chroniclesofgeorge.nanc.com/

3. This third site is one you can visit with your kids while you search for and design a habitable planet. Note: You'll need Shockwave Player and Flash for much of it. There are training levels, quizzes, astronomy, geology, etc. And there's stuff there for parents and teachers, too. http://astroventure.arc.nasa.gov/

4. Long before Steve Irwin, there was Marlin Perkins and the Wild Kingdom. This site has a lot to offer, including clips from recent shows, adventure tours, and a whole section of Nostalgia devoted to the early shows. http://www.wildkingdom.com/

5. If you love the circus, you'll wonder how you ever got along without visiting this site. You'll be able to learn about the history and evolution of the circus from the very beginning to the current role the circus plays in society. http://www.circusweb.com/

6. Like popping bubble wrap? I may have posted this before, but it's amazing how addictive a being able to pop virtual bubble wrap can be. http://www.virtual-bubblewrap.com/index.shtml

7. Thousands of garden gnomes have been enslaved and this site wants it to end. "FreeTheGnomes.com provides Garden Gnome Liberation information and calls to action. We advocate an end to oppressive gardening and freedom for garden gnomes everywhere." http://www.freethegnomes.com/

8. Are you fascinated by unicorns? Well, Dianne Stephens is, and she's shared her collection online. Some of the items she has are absolutely unbelievable. The site hasn't been updated in quite a while but it's still worth looking at if you love the mythical creatures. http://www.unicorncollector.com/

9. We've all either quit a job or been fired from one. This site has a lot of stories from people who are sharing their "Fired!" stories. You'll laugh or cry or maybe both... http://www.simplyfired.com/blog/fired/

10. Any site that takes its name from an obscure Monty Python line is okay with me! "He is an halibut. I chose him out of thousands. I didn't like the others; they were all too flat." Well, All Too Flat is just as addictive as Monty Python. They warn you to "prepare yourself for some serious time-wasting and (hopefully) a fair amount of laughing." http://www.alltooflat.com/

11. If you're a self-respecting Egyptian pharoah, you can't go to the afterlife without the proper equipment. This very clever site from the Boston Museum of Science gives you 3,300 debens and shows you what you need to do to get the best in burial options. Eternity Travel - book your afterlife now. http://www.mos.org/quest/et/

12. "Say kids! What time is it?" If you know the answer to that, then you might want to spend some time checking out this nostalgic site. And if you don't see a resemblance between the title character and a certain Kings broadcaster, you're just not looking hard enough. http://www.howdydoodytime.com/

Well, that's it for this time. Hope you find something to enjoy.
