Usc! Usc! Usc! Usc!

Anyone watching that game has to admit that Vince Young was absolutely down on that controversial non-replay call. While you can make the point that the game is done with, get over it, or that it wouldn't have changed the outcome (and both are very good points...), you almost definetly have to realize that if that play had been reviewed, Texas would have been at the 10 1/2 yard line instead of in the endzone. Given that, it completely changed the outcome of the game, because theoretically if the Trojans HAD been able to stop VY, since the TD only ended up being 6 points, it would have been a tie game at the end. Also, a psychologist would say that if that play had been overturned, even if the Longhorns had gone all the way and scored again, the game would have been a different game from then on, so it would have changed the outcome :D.

Anywho, I'm a Cal fan, so this is the only time you will catch me arguing for SC. Only reason I am is because of how badly they screwed up on that, and, in my eyes, how much it changed the game.

Then again, I was rooting for USC the whole time because of how Texas and their .....(can't find the right word)..... somewhat deceitful coach found a way to cut Cal out of the Rose Bowl last year. (go ahead and give me all your reasons why they made a good decision, the truth is Mack and his brother Brown skewed votes to get them in. Just don't forget the fact that the only game Cal lost that year was by 6 points to the eventual national champion USC) By the by, I wanted USC to win, and alas, they did not. I only pray that that fact doesn't fuel both LenDale White AND Reggie Bush to come back next year. Then again, if Cal can beat a team with those guys still on it, that would be even better, and I think by next year, they will be capable of just that.

I can tell you what would have happened had they gotten that call correct.

VY would have run it in on the very next play. Game would have proceeded exactly the same after that.

You know that horrible feeling in your stomach that you get after a devastating loss? All kings fans feel this... Well that's how I felt yesterday when SC lost... I even told my dad to leave and I'd close up the shop just so I can finish the game... I stayed at work for an extra 30-40 mins... And when young ran it in, I was on the phone with my cousin(I was on the phone for like 25 mins just talking about the game as if we were with eachother) and my whole insides just felt wierd and I couldn't even talk on the phone anymore... Its wierd cause I'm not really a die hard SC fan(I've kinda always liked SC and UCLA evenly), but I just like bush so much.. It really hurt to see them lose the way they did... I wanted them to be remembered for winning 3 straight titles, but you gotta hand it the Young... That guy was amazing... Its a shame how 1 team can rely so heavily on 1 player to get the job done, but he did it... He really can't run like that in the NFL though... They will lay him out if he doesn't slide... SC just didn't wanna hit him... The NFL will...

It's hard to really argue the impact of that play- Texas would have first and goal (or 10, was Vince stopped at the 12?) and likely would have gotten that touchdown anyway. Even if they get a field goal, or come away with nothing, the rest of the game would have been played differently. And in spite of that TD, USC built a 12 pt lead and lost it late in the game. Texas just played the better game.

Usc is a better team true, but vince young is a far superior player. So hey, he can have his team while vince has the bcs championship and player of the game. I hear that leinhart is extremely cocky and just a jerk, this is from people who met him. but i have no real quotes or anything, just saying thats what i heard.

Everyone knows V Young makes that team. So while Texas played a spectacular game, they were only above average. Obviously without Vince they wouldn't have won. I mean, when they got hte ball on that last drive, I already knew they would win. I kept saying "wow...wow" over and over again because I knew there was no way he was gonna be stopped, so I guess the wow meant I was already amazed at what he had yet to do or it was a wow of amazement at a good game. Anyway, amazing game, down to the VY runs and the Bush leap, a few good intercepts and White's abililty to run up the gut.

Oh, I forgot in my last post about talking about that pass/fumble or incomplete pass. When Vince passed it and the receiver seemingly caught it and fumbled, and they called it incomplete. Then again, taht one is more arguable than the other one I talked about.

Eh, its all over now, not all that much use talking about it.

*finishes and gets back on floor to pray to whatever watches over us to talk Vince (and Reggie and LenDale) into going to the NFL*

(and hey, my Raiders have a chance at him, even at #6, maybe I won't hate him the rest of his career after all)

But there was another play that should have been overturned. When Texas intercepted teh ball and he fell on grounf and dropped it. He actually caught it, fell on ground, held it on ground for 1 second, THEn it fell out of his hands, so actually that should have been a call for Texas, so it kinda gave Trojans the call back, not fully, but some. :D

he just was very unclassy in saying that he felt that they are still the better team, and that UT won because USC allowed them too... and they lost more than the longhorns won. I mean, the guy is a great player but I think he could have went out alot more gracefully. UT got the better of them tonight.. and really I think sportscenter summed it up best when they said that Vince Young took a backseat to nobody tonight and I completely agree.
com on man, thats the biggest crock of s*** ive ever read... i wanna see you in an interview 15 mins after losing the title game and missing out on a three peat when ur team was up 12 and had been dominating the longhorns in the second half only to see a couple of stupid coaching calls and bad breaks go against you..

No, YOU come on man. you know I read your post where you were so depressed because your reggie bush and usc blew it big time. look, no turning back now. you proved my point for me. exactly, they did have a lead with less than 5 minutes left. coaching decisions, player screw ups it does not matter............ THEY LOST!! look, I gave them respect and said they are a great team, and I stand by that but for all you usc homers to say this or that and make excuses or not give due credit is just ridiculous. get over it. crock of s***? that post game quote and fans not giving up is what i think is s***!!

Hook em'!!!
