Vince young killed em. THat was a sweet game, i though usc was doomed when they were down by 11 and they won! i just won 3 bucks. I was scared to bet, so i made a wussy bet. but whatever. i hate SC, i just wish vince would come to the nfl, forget that college stuff.

One of the best "National Championship" games I have watched in awhile. Was disappointed that USC gave up that last score, and thus, the game. I just cannot root for Texas over a California team, even if it is southern CA. :p

I hope VY comes back to Austin, though after a game like that I don't blame him if he dosen't. Lost some respect for Leinart for some of his post game comments and poor sportsmanship

What did Leinart say?

I had it on mute as I was on the phone...

One of the Leinhart's quotes on ESPN was that he thought USC was still the better team. Tough argument to make considering that 60 minutes of football proved otherwise.

Don't know if there are other quotes which are being referenced above.

I watched Vince do the same thing to my beloved Wolverines last year on the same field. It was much less painful to watch this year.

he just was very unclassy in saying that he felt that they are still the better team, and that UT won because USC allowed them too... and they lost more than the longhorns won. I mean, the guy is a great player but I think he could have went out alot more gracefully. UT got the better of them tonight.. and really I think sportscenter summed it up best when they said that Vince Young took a backseat to nobody tonight and I completely agree.

The coach made two fatal decisions to go for it on 4th down. I blame him for the loss.

Kick a field goal to make it 10-0, and punt the ball to pin Texas with two minutes to go and down 5. Then you win.

Carroll has a very respectable record and took chances that he believed could allow his team to win. That said, this game is in the history books and I am glad that VY and crew will bring the championship title back to the ATX baby!!

This is funny coming from a Kings fan...

I'd say USC was pretty classy in defeat. What Leinert said was in the heat of the moment, and besides, he was probably right. :)

Leinert and Bush both went to the Longhorns locker room after the game to congratulate them.

I aint taking anything away from young... That was incredible... But putting him in position for the final part of his arsinole is what pissed me off...

Did u guys hear that supposedly the replay function wasn't working when youngs knee hit the ground early in the game on the latteral so that's why carroll didn't challenge it... And that was also a forward latteral.

USC was up by 12 at one point which was way AFTER the knee hitting the ground. That call did not lose the game for USC. USC lost the game by letting VY run for 200 or so yards.

The ole on any given Sunday err Wednesday and yes VY was awesome he sure impressed me. Fun game to watch.

That was definitely a missed call. Seriously doubt a broken replay is anything more than a rumor started by a depressed USC fan though...

Also, I find it hard to imagine that USC would have actually made a goal-line stand and stopped Vince Young from the 5 yard line or whereever. Although, you never know. USC should have called a time out in any case.

I never said the latterall had anything to do with the outcome of the game... I mean it did, but I agree SC had the game won... I just wanted to see if you guys had heard about the replay malfunction as well...

Donnt you think your being a bit of a homer? What do you expect hm to say 15 minutes after a highly charged and emotional game like that?

Vince Youg just may be the greatest college player ever. With anybody else QBing the Longhorns the Longhorns would have been blown out.

What he did was unbelievable. Im still in awe of that performance. He would easily be the number 1 pick if he decides to come out this year. But I hope he stays in college for another year.

Im a PAC10 guy so I grudgingly have to say.... Congrads to the Texas Longhorns.... They deserved it.

Here ya go:

" Malfunctioning monitor blocked review on first Texas TD By Malcolm Moran and Jack Carey, USA TODAYThu Jan 5, 7:19 AM ET

The first touchdown scored by the Texas Longhorns in Wednesday's Rose Bowl was not reviewed because of a malfunctioning monitor that prevented the replay crew from seeing the necessary angles to stop play.

Dave Parry, the national coordinator for NCAA football officiating, told USA TODAY a problem with one of the monitors temporarily limited the replay officials to the same image shown on the screen beyond one of the end zones.

Texas quarterback Vince Young appeared to have a knee touch the ground before he lateraled to tailback Selvin Young for a 12-yard touchdown run. The play gave Texas a 9-7 lead with 4:57 to go in the second quarter.

"They didn't get the time to see the views ABC provided," Parry said at halftime. "It should have been reviewed."

Well that sucks.
