Last Grand Slam in this year starts tomorrow. What are your predictions?
When we talk about guys, I think it would be surprise not to see Nadal, Federer, Murray and Djokovic in semi-finals. Fedex is playing really good lately, Nadal still isn't 100% fit. Andy and Nole will try to upset them, but that's not going to be easy.

As for the girls, I think that few players have almost even chances of winning. Sisters Williams, Safina, Dementieva, Jankovic and maybe even Sharapova. Maria Sharapova reached finals in Toronto and she is deffinitely back on track, but we'll see if she can maintain her shape. I don't know, it seems that somehow in the end, Serena or Venus always win in New York:)

Ma favourites are Djokovic, Sharapova and Jankovic.

As far as the girls go, I think the tournament is definitely Serena's to lose. As far as the men go, I'm rooting for Andy Roddick to finally put it all together when it matters most. I'd love to see two Americans win the U.S. Open. :)

Men's tennis: My man is a Swiss German boy - Federer! I've been a long time fan of his talent and I hope he'll win the thing!

Women's tennis: I am into Slavic tennis girls, especially Russian blondes :)

Sharapova was supposed to play against Dementieva in 3rd round and against Jankovic in semi-finals. I really think that she has an open road to the finals, now that those 2 are gone.

What a meltdown by Serena! I was never a big fan of her, but I always respected her game. The one thing I didn't like about her is that whenever she lose it was always because of something she didn't do, not because of the other player outplaying her.

I'd feel bad if I was Kim Clijsters, because the girl outplayed Serena last night and didn't deserve to win like that.
On the other hand, to be honest, I didn't see any fault when Serena took the serve. I don't justify what she did and said to the referee, but I don't think she stepped on the line.

Federer is cyborg:) This was one of their best matches I've ever seen. This was close to Djokovic's maximum. Federer not only played great, but he also had a lot of luck with the net and this last point between legs... wow.
Regards to Del Potro, but I am pretty sure this was finale before actual finale.

Btw. judges were terrible today. Djokovic actually had 5 correct challenges in a row! I don't remember that happening lately, but I don't wanna believe it was on purpose.

yea... after he cussed out the referee and threw a **** fit. Roger may be losing it. He's still a great player, but some of that close out mentality is gone.

Del Potro looked amazing this tournament. He has a huge serve, huge forehand and good mobility for a big guy (and a great wingspan to track down shots with). I was surprised at how he dismantled Nadal (who wasn't completely 100%, but still) and even more impressed at how he took Roger off his game and really frustrated him and dictated play.

Only 20 years old too...

But let's see how he does next year with expectations heightened... I remember when Djokovic beat Federer in Australia as a younger player. While he's been in the top 5 consistently, he hasn't quite lived up to expectations after that major win....

Anyways, Roger is great, but I wouldn't complain to see some new stiff competition for the guy other than Nadal. :)

My personal favorite, Ivanovic, really needs to find her game again... :(

There's a rumor going around she's not really into Tennis anymore... not sure if it's something personal or what but she just plays with a robotic motion instead of with passion and purpose. What a fall from grace man...
