Tyrese Watch

I don't know what their beef is but sounds like Tyrese knows something Timmy isn't sharing.
 
Is this all because Tyrese encouraged the ref to call a tech on THJ and the ref did?

This is an excerpt from this article:

"Haliburton told (the official) to call the tech and he did after he was told by Tyrese to call it (on Tim Hardaway Jr.)," Blaha said of a dustup with the Pacers leading 120-109 with 3:20 to play in the game. "Tyrese Haliburton never shuts up. Never."

I think I did see him at a WWE event semi-recently but I think maybe he has gotten the distractions out of the huge boost of fame getting out of Sac brought him and gotten back into his game. Plus he had some injuries and may be healthy now? I'll be honest I only watch when they play us.

Caught some recent Pacers games. Not sure what it is, maybe health, but he’s just making more of his shots. He’s not shooting any more of them (he and Monk put up the same amount of shots per game) than earlier in the year. There is a better flow between him and Siakam, and Siakam has also embraced playing more off ball and shooting more corner 3s. Siakam btw is shooting 40% from 3 after shooting 39% last year after the trade. Amazing how 3pt shooting improves when you’re no longer the focal point on offense (there were some horrible takes about Siakam fitting in last year)

His injury last season took him out of rhythm. It was only a matter of time, before he settled back into the really good shooter that he is

Honestly only concern I had with him was the indication he’d not re-sign. I’d have loved a team with him, a locked in Fox and Keon and Keegan rounding out the starters. But not sure that would have been in the cards in order to land him plus the flight risk. And I’m unsure even if we had added him that we keep Fox unless he had made all NBA last season and been offered a super max. We’ll see but I think the endgame with Fox is more about Paul adding Victor to his client list.

I really don't get it. Is it professional jealousy? The WWE appearances? I wouldn't put the guy in my top 10 list, certainly not over some of the players beneath him. Although about half that list shouldn't be there either. Weird. They supposedly asked 90 players. Would like to know who. lol.
 
Looks right to me. I mean, I'm struggling to think of a definition of overrated that wouldn't apply to Tyrese Haliburton. He's a very good player, but people talk about him like he's "one of them ones," as they say around here. And he's not that.

Do they still? It's hard for me to track this objectively since so much of the Haliburton discourse focused on how stupid the Kings were to trade him. But I don't think casual fans act like he's LeBron's heir apparent, just the pod bros who he is tight with.
 
I view him as potentially having as much value to the Pacers as John Stockton had for the Jazz. Stock was never looked at as a superstar, but was selected for the original dream team
