Tyreke Getting "Adjusted

Probably notfor his faciitis problem. However, when you are possible favoring an injury, other things often get out of alignment and can lead to other injuries. Maybe it's to try and counteract those possible consequences.

He's screwing up is what he's doing. I have no idea if what he is doing there is necessary, but if it is, this is where you demand a hot swedish bikini model and some baby oil

No reason he can't do both. One out of necessity and the other....well, I'd guess you'd say that was out of "neccesity," too. ;)

Ka... Ka...Ka...Ka <<<<< C R A C K >>>>> I bet that feels good. I got to try a session myself one of these days. Let's go Reke! Get off vs. the Nuggets! Go Kings.

Chiropractic is not based in scientific evidence, it's quack pseudoscience that's not accepted by modern medicine. Someone please stop him from wasting his time and risking his health with those charlatans.

This is fact. They are not medical doctors of chiropracticy. They are often just GP's who took up Chiropractic mumbo jumbo later to make money. No science at all, just cracking bones without any real medical benifit proven by science. Some people swear by them. I have been to many and they were all QUACKS. Wasted money and a way to collect money off an injury in a car accident.

Get out of the 60's and stop being a tool of the AMA.

In my real-world experience, a good chiropractor diagnoses and analyses a person's skeletal and muscle structure, through x-rays and direct reading through instruments, stretches, and listens to the patient detail where and when the pain comes.

This has relieved my recurring sciatica (low-back stiffness & swelling causing pain and numbness).

A bad chiropractor (like a bad doctor) will not listen to the patient or tailor his treatments to the patient, just going by wrote habit.

In my experience, there has been a greater % of quackery and bad medicine performed by "real doctors" than by the 4 chiropractors I have been to.
America deifies "doctors" because they have swallowed the big lie of american (pharmaceutical) medicine.

But go ahead and listen only to Big Pharma, and ignore reality.
Go ahead and swallow those pills when you have back pain, and when it doesn;t relieve the spinal pressure go ahead and go under the knife, leading to even more prescriptions.
I'll believe my modern chiropractic success, and millions of other people's, instead of listening to the AMA's decades-long (and decades-old) smear campaign.

You dont become a certified respected chiro by just "taking up mumbo jumbo to make money". Sure the crappy ones you describe are, but the top notch, respected chiro's do undergraduate work in order to attend chiro school post grad, which aren't easy to get into. I feel like the Maloofs probably wouldn't be sending Tyreke to a chiro with a reputation of being a "QUACK" who just picked up chiropractic practice as a way to make money. You are also wrong in the sense of its just "cracking bones". In many cases, a majority of it is massage with the addition of spine adjustment. It is no more a quack practice than most modern physicians prescribing opiate pain meds as if they are going to cure every issue.

You are right, there is not much proven scientific medical benefit, I will not disagree with anyone who says so. They are NOT for the purpose of healing or fixing any back injuries. Anyone who goes to them with that in mind is disillusioned, and that is probably why people place such a dark cloud over the practice, they don't see their issues solved. It is the same as acupuncture in the sense that, no, it is not meant to heal or cure any injury or ailment, but it is available for people who wish to use it for their own personal relief. It works for some people, for others its a waste of money and time.

Either way, can it hurt him? No. Is it guaranteed to help him? No. But when most other things have failed and his body is still giving him issues, do I think its worth it to give it a shot? Yes.

My experience with Chiropractors is that, if you get one who is really good, he/she is going to be a very important part of your healthcare team. Just like Podiatrists, they have knowledge and see things that others don't. In fact, just a few decades ago, Podiatrists were often considered by other physicians to be... illegitimate... "not real doctors." But the reality was, the vast majority of medical schools only offered one class on the foot and ankles. This is (was) preposterous when you consider that your feet and hands have more bones then the rest of your body combined!

If you believe that any one medical professional is your God, then you'll get the medical care you deserve.

Wow, what a bunch of paranoid nonsense that is. There is absolutely no reason for medical science to push out a practice that works. If it worked, then it would have scientific evidence to back it up, and the medical community would have eventually accepted it. It doesn't, so it hasn't. That's how medical science works, it's based on science. Chiropractic is not based on science and that is the issue the medical community has with it. You're using the same "oh, they just have it out for us" technique that all pseudosciences use as a defense. If you haven't looked into chiropractic's origins of being this crazy religious practice, then I suggest you do that, because it's really quite fascinating.

Look, I'm not saying that I trust drug companies or MD's implicictly, but I do trust medical science and consider it the best option available. Why? Because it's based on science, you know, the process that has been responsible for pretty much all of our knowledge about the universe, as well as our technological advancments. If medical scientific evidence was based on personal testimony like you are trying to push as evidence right now, then we'd still be leeching and bleeding people. Chiropractic at best is a very expensive placebo, and at worst, is snake oil that scams people out of ridiculous amounts of money and promises them things they can't fulfill, while putting up false pretenses of being scientifically based. Most of the time chiropractic just takes credit for relieving common lower back pain that typically goes away on its own with stretching and exercising, which they conveniently prescribe along with their useless treatments.
