Tyreke Evans Injury Update

hmm

Its kind of odd that the MRI showed them that .. I mean, usually when an athlete gets hurt, but not seriously, the report is just that "the MRI came up negative, and the player is day - to - day " or something like that ..

Either way, it doesnt sound serious, I just hope it doesnt linger.

Day to day would mean.....nothing. So much for 101's hatred of his trainers.

I'm familiar with this injury. I wouldn't be surprised if Tyreke is back participating in the scrimmages early next week.

scrimmages. Heck preseason starts next week. its game time baby WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

can you tell I am a little excited????

Thanks for the updated info, KDC. So basically he bruised his kneecap? While I know it's painful, I don't think it's career ending.

:)

Did something with my leg when i landed on it after falling off the couch on Monday.. Hurts like a bugger but I can still walk on it. I am day to day as well lol :D

I had my 1 year old nephew and was flying him around while laying on my back on the couch. Anyway, I got off balance and slipped and landed on my 2 year old niece who was below me and dropped my nephew from about a foot up. Scared the heck out of me but I held on to him until my elbow hit the ground, and was able to land kinda on my knee and elbow luckily missing my niece mostly. My leg did hit her leg.. She cried a bit but is ok, and my nephew just played on... LOL.. Was laughing about it after I dropped him..

I think this is why I don't have kids! I'm a death trap! lol.

Whew!:

The MRI on the left knee of Sacramento rookie Tyreke Evans is negative, source close to him tells Y! Sports. He landed wrong in scrimmage.

Evans -- the 4th pick in draft out of Memphis -- is expected to return to Kings practice in short order.

Sounds good.

However, I should note this turned up as well:

A bone bruise = big whoop. Owie, but heals. But according to the above link you can sometimes get a patellar bone bruise on the back of your patella due to various defects in the cartilage/structure of the knee. I hope/assume that is not the case here, and that we are jsut talking banged knees or some such.

Yes. Actually that is what the NY Giants safety has and is now done for the year.

Wheeeeewww... With all the stuff that's happened to this franchise over the years, it's understandable for a fan to go over the deep end on an injury to a first round draft pick. I'm now on the worry watch for Caspi.....;)

So, are you genuinely concerned over his health and ability to suit up, or are you just hoping it is serious so you can be right? I still don't understand the tone of your original message on this subject. What is it exactly that you have a problem with? The Kings drafting him over X player? Him training with his brother? General disdain?
