Tyreke Evans for John Wall?

King Baller

All-Star
Former Rookie Of The Year Tyreke Evans for First Pick of last years draft John Wall?

Does this help both players with a change of scenery?

As a Kings fan I'm not wanting to be rid of Tyreke. I do find this trade interesting, your thoughts?

pretty sure its been mentioned already in another thread... but i'd do it in a heart beat... i've given up on Evans being a top 1 or 2 option in this league. he's too limited by is inability to grow and expand his game in the offseason...

yes having a terrible offensive system and coach doesn't help or being injured... but Evans is a one on one type player and his game is relatively unaffected by these things. if he could hit a mid range j he would be hitting mid range shots ... i don't care who his coach is... or what system were running...

hes not a PG and will never be able to be a PG. He is the leader and at the forefront of the worst passing team in the NBA. I think "HIS" STYLE has as much to do with the lack of passing as the system or coaching... He's just not ever gonna be an elite superstar with the balanced all around superstar game... he's a one trick pony that was able to stick out his rookie year being the best player on an awful team. the league has adjusted to him and his lack of skills .... plus he's not a take charge vocal leader and that is another horrible quality. and so....

Give me wall or another semi good pass first PG maybe with a first round pick attached if its not for wall. Cousins is clearly the mega superstar and franchise player we need to build around and with this current line up we need passing to assist all these shooters... lol! (to argue the shooters comment... a passing first PG would make the game easier for everyone all around) Evans is holding the ball too much (more than everyone else) and in my view disrupting the teams chemistry.

I can see a big 3 starting with Cousins, person to be named, and the 3rd being Thornton... that wouldn't be bad...

seriously imagine if Cousins had a Pass first PG and he didn't have to work so dang hard for everything.... wow he would be a monster... especially on those nights things aren't going his way... a couple easy baskets has been known to snap players out of funks... he's the one we should be trying to build on... I'm not sure how anyone could build a team around Evans right now... or if anyone would even want to try to bring Evans as just a "fit" or piece of the puzzle... I'm sure everyone would worry that he'd continue do what he does now ... hold the ball too much... not pass... get double/triple teamed at the basket... brick shots.

Not only would I do it but I'd even throw in a pick or another player like Hickson, JT, Thomas, Honeycutt, Whiteside, or Greene if I had to.

Player A: 16.3 PPG, .405 FG%, .276 3PT%, .771 FT%, 4.8 RPG, 8.1 APG, 1.6 SPG, 0.6 BPG, 3.9 TO, 57% jump shots, -6.2 points prevented/100 defensive poss.
Player B: 18.7 PPG, .433 FG%, .271 3PT%, .755 FT%, 5.0 RPG, 5.5 APG, 1.5 SPG, 0.4 BPG, 3.1 TO, 58% jump shots, +6.0 points prevented/100 defensive poss.

One of these players is never going to fulfill his potential and is worth giving up on, despite having one of his 2.2 seasons derailed by foot problems. One of these players is not worth giving up on, and is worth trading not only the other player, but more players/picks in addition to get.

Right.

(Edit: all stats are career stats except %jump shots, pp/100dp, which are '11-'12 only as 82games.com does not appear to have career stats)

It's not really giving up on Tyreke in this case. I'd do that trade even if both guys were playing to their potential because I just think Wall would be a better fit on the Kings. As far as throwing in one of those other guys, none of them are likely to still be here in a few years anyways so it doesn't really matter. Might as well use them as trade bait while you can.
