[Game] T'wolves @ Kings 3/18/2012

Why not? He's not saying he wants Tyreke to be hurt, he's just saying without Tyreke they move the ball better. Which may be true. There is nothing wrong with saying that. People are allowed to have differences of opinion afterall.

There's a very fine line between criticism and bashing. Since I tend towards thinking the least in people, I don't trust "borderline" comments to not turn into bashing, and prefer to stop it before it stops.

And, frankly, BMiller52, you've been around here long enough to know that "why not" is not an answer to a mod's instruction that's going to end well for someone.

Kings turned the corner and then somehow ran into a ditch. Looks like we finally crawled out of the ditch and back on the road to....? Nice Sunday afternoon win!

Watching the bench and roleplayers step up is really nice to see. On nights like this, I have hopes that the Kings have a sleeping 76ers/Pacers type roster plus a superstar in Cousins just a year away from breaking out.

Oh, and Davis or Gilchrist in the draft.

And anyone have any idea what was going on between Barea and Love tonight?

Well, I would ask IT/MT why they decided to start passing as soon as Reke went down. The two weeks leading up to the injury Reke was one of the only players looking to set guys up along with Jimmer/Cuz.

I'd also ask the bench why they decided to magically triple their effort the last two games.

But, good game. Minn looks like a shell of themselves without Rubio/Pek.

there is no middle ground here in regards to Reke for the mods. It's obvious they can't say no wrong about him, which is why when they hear a spec of negative energy about Reke coming from somebody, they place a gag order.

It's hilarious to be honest.

It's obvious though, the balls is always in motion without Tyreke. Of course Thornton is a black hole when he gets it going (and on the fastbreak), but aside from that the offense looks better. I just wish Reke would learn how to push the tempo and not hold the ball so long when he has it.

And we beat them handily essentially without our 2 best players in Reke and Cousins being a non-factor. It's a great sign that our role players are stepping up big time the last few weeks

Keep going. I'll give you enough.

We have too much talent on the roster to suck forever. We will turn the corner at some point. Finishing this year off strong would be a big first step.

Well without those 2 they are basically the same team they were last year. A team who was actually worse than we were.

Especially when the criticism is valid. I understand limiting the bashing Reke for no reason whatsoever, but the team's offense the last 2 games has been the best it's looked in a long long long time. Let's hope they can keep this up

Even after a great win somehow i knew there'd be a petty argument going down, lol.

Great game, super fun to watch, some fantastic ball movement. Now if we could only get MT to pass on the fastbreak we'd be on to something!

Two games is not statistically significant enough for...

When did this team learn to pass?
dare I say...

when Tyreke went down with an injury

... to be a "valid" or accurate criticism. Two whole games? Really?

Yes, so it's great IT/MT have decided to start sharing the ball over the weekend. Now let's see them do it consistently. They do, we're clearly a better team. They don't, as they weren't, then we're no better than last year. I wonder if it's because when Reke is out there they're worried they won't get enough shots. Even BJax said at halftime they're working to make IT a PG and get him to turn down some shots.

But a good coach will add Reke to this. A poor coach won't know how. I'm not convinced at all Smart is the guy who can add Reke to this.

But if he has legit feeling that Tyreke stops the ball, that's just an opinion, which he is entitled to. Unless he goes over the line and starts saying like "OMFG TYWRECK SUXORZ" and "OMFG I HATE THAT NOOB I HOPE WE TRADE HIM TO THE CBA" or something like that, there's really no reason to warn him IMO.

Obviously. So we should just ignore how we utterly dominated Boston and Minny on both ends? Take nothing from these 2 games? Sample size is certainly important, but you have to look at all the factors when our team plays as dominate as we've been the last 2 games and what caused it to happen.

How many games before the "fire Keith Smart" thread becomes valid and the "is the IT experiment.... thread" a valid one. I think it was about 3 games for the IT one.

Not all that valid with just 2 games...didn't we play expectionally well against Dallas?

Overall good game and I hope they can keep this up as well.

It's fair criticism at times but I wouldn't harp on it at expense of other MT pluses - like pouring in 36pts last game. Remember in that game by MT he had ball in transition and found Jimmer with slick behind the back pass - who then found JT streaking down middle for easy slam.

Well no, 2 games isn't, but it's happened many time when Reke would go down with an injury and the Kings offense would run a lot smoother.

Reke has a bad habit of holding the ball and staying static while thinking what to do. A couple of wasted seconds go by, which create these hitches in the offense.

In the following numerical sequence: 1, 2, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, I know what the thirteenth number is going to be. I'm not compelled to wait for the twelfth.

Better to intervene and pee five people off, than to wait until after fifty people are pissed off.

To be honest i was mainly being light hearted, It'd be nice to see him pass on the break more often is simply what i was getting at. I'm a big MT fan and his scorers mentality is what makes him the player he is.

Well then we're going back to plantar fasciitis under the Westy train wreck. I can pull up games from last year and the year before which will make anyone look poor.

This year as a PG under Smart, Reke's ast rate went up, and was comparable to a few top pg's(Rose, Parker, Westbrook,Wall). As a SF, he's led our team in asts, even though by nature SF's are isolated more, and when he gets it as a SF he should be looking more to score. That's why he's moved there, right? So which are you referring to?

Again, why did IT/MT decide to suddenly start passing when Reke went out?

The conversation was still chill before mods stepped in. Maybe lay back next time. Enjoy the win and go watch Lehigh rock the tourny.
