Really bummed out right now, but happy with the turn around.

Oh well. Good season. Time to work hard and come back even better next year.

Since I wasn't even pretending to expect to be in the playoffs, I can't be too disappointed. Without a couple of key mistakes, the game was ours for the taking. And no matter how badly we 49er fans feel right now, I'm thinking the guy who feels the very worst is poor Kyle Williams...or Ted Ginn, Jr.

Agreed. I just don't know what he was thinking on the first one. If you aren't going to grab it, stay the h*** away from it so a funny bounce doesn't bite you in the a**, like it did. If you are going to get that close to the ball, you better grab it and run. But he is very young. I am sure this will be a learning experience and he'll come out a better player because of it.

Ah, well, so close. But I think now they have a VERY good idea what the strengths and weaknesses are and what to address this offseason to try to get there next year. I have the feeling this coach will be around a while. ;)

The first one killed me, like you said, once you decide not to field it get to the other side of the field. Then when it hits him he goes into playing dumb mode as if video replay isn't going to catch it.

The second one while unfortunate, well it happens. He was over eager and didn't secure the ball but he wasn't a full time returner. The Pats return specialist blew one yesterday. It happens.
 
The one thing I am a bit perturbed about is Alex Smith using bounce passes to his receivers. He isn't a frustrated point guard, is he???

I am very upset with a small minority of 49er "fans" who apparently have been making death threats towards Kyle Williams. good grief.

Those few with death threats aimed at Kyle Williams are cowards. They make cowardly threats but don't carry it out. And even if they did, they'd still be cowards. That being said, I sure wish Ted Ginn, Jr. had been able to play both as returner and reciever.
 
49ers definitely need a big play WR. Crabtree is a bust and Vernon can't do it all himself. I think they need to trade up in the draft to snag Jefferys or Floyd in the early 20s. But it's amazing what a great coach can do for a team that everyone thought was destined for failure. *looking at you Kings*
