i was just kind of messing around with this. i think it works out well for each team.

Utah is probably the biggest losers in this trade. they're losing okur, millsap, and harpring, and getting miller, bynum, and morrison. basically trading away their frontline for a more inexperienced, raw(or old) frontline.

Charlotte would have a pretty decent lineup with felton, wallace, artest, may, and okafor with millsap and harpring coming off the bench.

LA is losing already trading Kobe, but they receive a decent big in okur, a good guard in richardson, and douby. okur, odom, walton, richardson, and douby/crittenton doesnt look like too bad of a lineup.

Sac of course gets a lot out of this, Kobe. its pretty much trading artest, miller, and douby for kobe. they could use either a 3 guard lineup of bibby, martin, and kobe or bring martin off the bench and start garcia.

Get me one while you're at it.

Many trades work on paper. This is one of them. However, that's where it ends. All teams end up worse off than when they started. Wallace and Artest do not fit. Our backcourt is severely weakened even with the addition of Kobe, assuming he'd EVER waive his no trade to go to a Sacramento team that no longer has a Ron Artest to help on D. Utah needs little tinkering - they're close to being a very good team, if not there already.

That said, welcome to the site.

First welcome to the board.

Now just a little hint: You need to complete your post. People shouldn't have to go to another site just to see what trade you're proposing. Make it easy for people and you'll get more responses.

What I mean is...show the rosters before the trade, which players would go where, and the rosters after the trade. Give as much info as you can and people will be more likely to respond.

However, having said all that, if your trade proposal involves the Kings getting Kobe Bryant, NO THANKS!

Hey if I were you I would give it another shot. I'm sure you could make a trade more complicated, far fetched that even makes less sense.

Granted this trade is insane, but did you just say that the Kings backcourt would be "severely weakened" when the only backcourt player we lost was Quincy Douby and we gained Kobe Freaking Bryant? Care to explain that?

FYI ... Not everyone is sold on Kobe Bryant, especially at this point in his career, being a plus for a team. The baggage he brings with him would make Artest's look like an overnight case. And, to clarify, I'm talking about his superstar ego, the demands he would make on management, his need to be "the guy" 24/7, etc. Add in that there are probably only two or three coaches in the whole league who could even handle him and you're not looking at a immediate and lasting improvement.

Of course, if you're not a contending team already, Kobe ain't coming to your dance.

;)

kobe bryant? trade for him in a heartbeat! i'd promptly ship him out for another superstar w/ less baggage. there isn't any team that wouldn't want a top 5 or 10 talent.

Fair enough. But..."severely weakened" backcourt? Uhhh no. Severely weakened chemistry/locker room I could see.
