Trade Hawes and Martin?

DeMoN

Bench
If we play him at the 3, we can have Reke guard the opposing SF. Beno can guard either the PG or SG, and Martin....Well, we all know Martin cant guard anybody :p

...I'd still rather trade him for a young big or maybe use him to move up in the draft come this summer (as I dont think we're a lock for a top 5 pick this season).

Maybe trade Hawes and Martin and our 1st round draft pick for a solid post up center and there 1st round draft pick to maybe try and get john wall?

Or maybe trade Hawes for a superstar center. That would be better wouldn't it? Easy to say this or that w/no real scenarios or names, isnt it?

But im throwin in Martin aswell.

Just a suggestion? Take a few minutes and look over the board. Read the tips for posting trade ideas...

As rhythmless said, it's real easy to talk about trading for a unnamed player with a certain skillset. What we challenge you to do is actually find a player on a team that would actually do the trade you're proposing. Otherwise, it's just realGM on steroids...

And to make it even more interesting, find one that actually works under the salary cap and provide reasons why each team would do it.

We're tough but it makes it a lot more interesting to all concerned.

She's right dude. Your trading Hawes and Martin, both starters for an unnamed player. Anyone can do that. I can make up anything I want, but thats not a basis for discussion. Except in the abstract. Come up with a player that your trading for, and then explain why its a trade the other team would want to do, and then why we would want to do it. And then make sure the trade is doable salary wise. :)

I say stick it out with ole Hawesome.

He's what, 21? Usually takes bigs 3 years to start showing what they are made of. This is also his first season with a legit coach.

Martin I am way down with trading. By the time we are contenders he'll be 30. He is our biggest trade chip. Him plus KT's expiring could net us a player.

Step 1: Trade Martin/Hawes/KT/Noc

Step 2: ??

Step 3: Championship!!!!

So simple yet Geoff Petrie is just too dumb to figure it out.

Ummm, which part. Step 1, Step 2?? or Step 3.. Personally I think Step 2 is a little ambiguous..:D

Unless you can find a player like the 25 year old Chris Webber why trade Hawes & Martin? Geoff Petrie Traded Mitch Richmond for Webber after Webber had a couple of legal issues which made the Washington Bullets want to ship Webber out.

Unless you are getting Dwight Howard, Al Horford, or maybe Oden why trade away 2/5ths of a starting lineup?

K-Mart for Hasheem Thabeet and Marko Jaric anyone????Im telling you once this guy get settled and starts getting some minutes he's gonna be a defensive force!!

And what prey tell is "THIS"? Nothing obscene I hope...:)

lol hell there are alot of things I'd do to get Chris Bosh on the Kings.

But in the context of this thread I would trade Kmart + Kenny Thomas + Spencer Hawes or whatever for Chris Bosh any day. I think he may be one of the few "superstar" caliber players available for trade as well. Toronto likely realizes that they're not getting him back and may want to recieve at least something.

I was thinking about the same thing.

First question is:

What do the Kings need the most?

In my opinion the answer is a true center that plays under the basket and not just shoots threes.
The other position that needs improvement is probably point guard (if trading Martin means moving Reke to SG). I'm from Slovenia and even I don't believe that Beno can play that good for the whole season.

Second question is:

Which team is looking for a shooter like Martin?

So, I was thinking about Kings trading Hawes and Martin for Noah, Hinrich (and probably something more). What do you think about this idea? (please, be nice, cause it's my first post :)

As much as the Bulls might like to have Martin, I don't think they really need him. Hinrich is their main backup point guard, so unless they get someone back at that position in return I doubt they would part with him. Plus he plays the two also. They already have a Hawes on their roster named Miller, and as much as I hate to admit it, Noah is playing better than Hawes at the moment. So I don't see why Chicago would want to do the trade. From our point of view, were just sort of changing similar parts. What I mean is were gaining another center, but were giving up a center. What we need to do is keep our center and find another center that can either start, or back up Hawes.
