Trade Deadline Thread

From what we saw tonight, Josh Hart would be absolutely perfect as a fit with his style on the wing. Another culture changer.
Between this dude and Sabonis, we'd never have to worry about being outrebounded again AND he's also played in Gentry's system before.

Holmes would be such a good fit with Charlotte or GS. He has had such a strange year, a fresh start might be good for him.

I’m bracing for Josh Jackson in exhange for Bagley but am hoping for Olynyk.

Would y’all trade a lottery protected ‘23 for Hart? He would be another “winning player” that would be great coming off our bench. I don’t think we could get him for second rounders.

Well if we are going to compete with marginal three-point shooting we have to out rebound opponents and learn to defend the three a lot better. It's doable it's just winning the hard way in this league now.

Im not locking any picks up via conditions unless its for a star if im the GM, so no. I'd throw a 2nd or 2.

I don't know what happened to him.

Games 1-23: 27.9mpg 15.2pts 9.8reb

Games 24-55: 23.1mpg 7.9pts 5.8reb

He had a facial injury right? Wasn't like a knee or shoulder or anything if I can recall.

I just don't think it'll cost that. They got a protected first for CJ McCollum and Larry Nance for goodness sake. They didn't get a FRP for a combined package of Norm Powell and Robert Covington.

I'd be more than willing to shell out some our excess 2nds and Bagley for Hart. It'd be entirely strange if they planned to keep him and his longer-term deal after just straight up dumping most of their long-term contracts. They can get a free 25 game look at Bagley while shedding his money and get off the Hart long-term deal.

Luke walton vs. Gentry

He basically got hurt around when Walton was fired, he was in and out of the lineup and never found his groove with all the craziness around this team the last 10 or so games and the whatever changes Gentry has made.

hey I hope you are right, I just don’t think I’d let him go for second rounders considering he has a team friendly deal and is versatile if I was their GM.

At this point we have plenty of offense from Fox, Sabonis, Mitchell and Black Falcon. What we need is defense and quality depth. For me, PJ, Hart and Olynyk fill some of the void without needing major touches or huge contracts. A Collins type wants to be the guy. Grant did too, remains to be seen if he would be ok going back to 3rd or 4th option. If you could get PJ, Olynyk and Hart AND keep the 22 pick you could be in ok shape.
