Dude...there is no way Toronto trades DeRozan I'm sorry but that ain't happening and especially in a draft like this with no sure thing. DeRozan is only getting better and he's going to be a stud, I hope Toronto isn't that stupid.

Toronto recieves Flynn and 2nd pick (minny's)
Minnesota recieves Derozan and 5th pick (toronto's)

This would be ideal for kings fans that want kings to land a Knight or Walker. I couldn't see Toronto drafting a pg after trading for one and Minny will have Rubio.

Rumors are a dime a dozen these days, but that would be great for us, especially if the T'wolves don't turn around and trade the pick. Of course, even if the Jazz take Kanter/Williams under that scenario, if Knight is BPA at #4 Cleveland will be fielding calls from half the teams in the league, and we might still have to trade in to the #4 to get him. But that kind of trade does open the door a little wider for us to get our choice of Kemba/Fredette or maybe even Knight at #7.

Beasley + #5 for Casspi + #7 + 2013 1st (top-10 protected), especially if Knight falls to #5? Sign Dally, sign Thornton:
Evans/Thornton/(Knight?)/Udrih -- backcourt
Beasley/Greene/Garcia -- wing
Cousins/Dalembert/Thompson/(Jackson?)/Whiteside -- frontcourt

I'd like our chances to fight for a playoff spot with that team.

First off, I hope that trade happens. It enhances our chances of drafting Knight. However, I'd be very surprised if the trade does happen. DeRozen was developing into one of the best players on the Toronto roster. Of course thats not saying a lot. There's not a lot of star power on the team, and that could be the incentive for the trade from Toronto's point of view. If they think Williams will become a star player in the league, then I can see them considering it, especially when they can pick up Flynn, and see if they can breathe new life into him. So it may not be as far fetched as one would think.

Talent wise, I like Beasley. He's an explosive player at times. Unfortunately, sometimes the explosion has nothing to do with basketball. I'm not one to condemm a player for life. Especially when they're young. But already having Cousins, and Whiteside, both of whom still have some maturing to do, adding Beasley into the mix could be the start of the Portland jailblazers part two. Seriously, I don't think it would be that bad. But you do have to be careful. I'd have to have a long interview with the dude before commiting to any deal involving him.

The medical marijuana issue is a legitimate one with Beasley I think. It's way too easy to get that license in California. You don't take an alcoholic and move them into a liquor store without expecting there to be problems. He wouldn't be the first professional athlete to smoke away his career. Even in his bounce back year he looks to be a volume shooter with suspect defense anyway so he's not a good fit.

We're not getting Beasely guys, and we really shouldn't want to. Reading some of these things its like a Basketball 101 on how to Isiah Thomas a young team into implosion.

Beasely is:
-- a big time scorer/shot muncher, neither of which we can tolerate anymore of on this team, and which can only lead to multiple unhappy/uncomfortable and sub-productive players up and down the roster
-- a nut with drug issues clouding the air around him, literally. None of which you can afford when you are a young team trying to form up a winning culture.
-- a non-defeneding blackhole, which is just flat out anathema to what we need there.

How many big scorers does Dallas have in its lineup? How about Miami? Right. Our mix is already heavy on that end.
