"Task force members said they are focusing on funding mechanisms that would target those who use the new arena – not a general sales tax like the one voters overwhelmingly shot down in 2006.

Possibilities include surcharges on Kings tickets and other arena events; a fee placed on parking for arena events in the 8,000 city-owned spaces near the facility; and corporate sponsorships and purchases of luxury seating"

OMG! my son-in-law and grandaughter in law. Saraya, are both on the front page of the bee today!!!

Pamm and I are so stoked , it was both of their Birthdays yesterday and they got to ride with the Tour, hang out with the Kings Dancers, ride on the Mayor's bus, hob nob with the dignataries and generally represent us rank and file Fans!!!

Went to Troy ans Saraya's Bday party Sat, had fun teasing Troy since the paper
printed his name as Tony in error LOL

Both of them had a great time on the Tour bus

I sure hope the effort was not wasted on the surrounding communities, who hopefully will see the need for a multi-county effort to get a much needed regional arena.
