Top Chef returns!

two words

GO ILAN!!!!!!!

i am shocked and i feel cheated that we were ROBBED of an ilan and sam SHOWDOWN for the finals. naturally i'm ecstatic my MAN ilan made the finals, but UGH it's against the weasel. i hope for a butt kicking!!!!!!!!!!!!! marcel is going DOWN in flames!

i could tell elia was going home after her performance, but i was shocked sam got the boot. he's proven himself over marcel much more often over the durantion of the competition, i thought that would earn him a spot in the finals. dayam......

GO ILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mi amour! ALLEZ!

As much as I want Ilan to win as well- Marcel just might win...

He was studying pretty hard on his cooking techniques before they went to Hawaii, and it looks like its paying off....

DAMN HIS XANTHAN GUM!!

it would be an insult to all chefs and cooks if marcel wins this contest. a top chef should not be trying to pysch out other contestants ( the TGIF challenge with betty) nor should they serve RAW CHICKEN to customers. that alone should have elminated him.

yucko, ilan better make him cry like he promised he would :D

Food and Wine Magazine flubs and released an interview with the winner!

Of course they then pulled that article and posted another one with the other contestant saying that they had both of them "just in case"

Who wants a spoiler? :D

Very interesting menus. I especially liked the Spanish flavors Ilan added into his menu. I would love to have a dinner like that.

Congrats to Ilan!!!

while not surprising, marcel being such a sore loser was very telling. both honestly had some pretty amazing menus, but i'm very happy and satisfied that Ilan was the winner tonight. another pretty solid season in the books for this program. :)

I was so glad that Ilan won- but I gotta say that I was pretty nervous w/ the menu that Marcel brought. I personally thought his dishes were a little more appealing to the eye overall than Ilan's- but it does come down to taste, right?? hehe.. I'm just sad only the judges could try it.

WOO HOO!!!!!!!

my man won! *i'm in love*

i was scared the whole episode. marcel did have a very strong menu except for the salad, more on that) it was close! but ilan went with what he knew and wow it looked fabulous! that dessert looked to DIE for!

macrel had a much more intricate menu, it would have been interesting to see the reaction if his salad drops had worked. i want to see what that molecular gastonomic chef would have thought. but still, that salad was pretty embarassing when you consider he was going for ONE HUNDRED GRAND! dang, if i'm putting up a salad it better he a hell of a lot better then that POS was.

well ilan didn't make him cry, but he sure kicked his butt. i look foward to someday eating in a restaurant he either owns or cooks in because he looks like a fantastic chef in the making. he has the passion and the soul for it.

congrats ilan!
