Does give us a crazy athlete we can try groom into a Tony Allen/bigger Ronnie Price type with more offensive skills. Wroten is one of those all out energy types.Inability to shoot would be a problem, but otherwise, yeah. Certainly has a lot more proven capacity to impact a basketball game than Seth Curry.

You don't know that. Curry has not had a chance to fully showcase himself.
Note I said "proven capacity".
But even without that, aside from our tendency to embrace every scrub of the month as a hidden gem who is going to be some magical answer, Wroten is 22, Curry is 25 -- just because we only are seeing Curry until now doesn't mean he isn't further along his development curve. Its just that his development curve has been largely at a sub-NBA level.
Meanwhile Wroten is bigger/stronger/faster, in short a much better athlete, and at 6'6" has legit SG size with a tantalizing ability to play the PG and give you a BIG PG. There is a sense of rawness there, but that's a good thing when you are picking a guy up for potential. Before his injury last year he was averaging 17pts 5ast and can be a disruptive ball hawk on defense. He was very inefficient, it wasn't winning basketball, but then again he was a 21 yr old kid being asked to lead the team and carry the offense of the Philadelphia 76ers of all teams. We obviously aren't going to ask him to do that here.
Karl likes ballhandlers and he likes disruptive defenders. Wroten has the chance to be both. On the other hand he's a bad shooter who needs to learn efficiency, which isn't ideal. I'm surprised the Sixers had to just release him. Seems like he might have been able to net them a 2nd from somebody.
Ben might be a great athlete but he does not play with the hunger Wroten does, if Ben played as hard as Wroten we would not even think about trading him, it's the thing that's frustrated us about Ben forever.don't we have a crazy athlete in ben? maybe kings should hire doug as a coach for him to help him w/ his game.
Vlade needs to take a good hard look at wroten.
Ben is way to inconsistent and does not play with any fire.
Wroten is a high energy guy and defender who can score. If he can develop any decent 3 point shot, say .385 on 3's, he can be a 3 and D type big SG.
I think the kings should sign wroten ASAP and give him a chance to spark the bench, or possibly start at SG.
Wroten will never be a 3&D type of player.Vlade needs to take a good hard look at wroten.
