[drupal=56]Things heating up in Miami[/drupal]
Word is there's a power outage in South Florida. I'd feel sorry for them but it's 84 degrees in Miami, so I'm not gonna be too sympathetic. Lots of comments come to mind, but I'll just stick with "If you can't stand the heat, get out of ... Miami" and leave it at that.
On the court, we're facing the post-Shaq Heat for the first time. More important than how the Heat look, however, is how our Kings look. Will Martin be the multi-dimensional player we saw against the Magic? Will Garcia keep hitting daggers? Will Brad put another double-double on the board? And what about Salmons? And Artest? And Douby? Shelden? Hawes?
This is certainly a Kings team with more questions than answers right now.
One good thing? At least we aren't fans of the Houston Rockets. I think one of our occasional posters, a Rockets fan, said it best when he said:
Tonight is another early game. I just hope they have the air conditioning fixed in Miami or Grant Napear's "turn the sprinkler systems on because _____ is ON FIRE" could take on a whole new meaning.
The game discussion thread is here.
The PBP thread is here.
Now, let's get ready for some Kings basketball!!!

Finding out in late February that your franchise player is out for the rest of the year really and truly sucks. I do have sympathy for the Rockets fans. We've been there; we know how it feels to have your hearts ripped out because of a "turnip" (for newer readers, "turnip" is used in place of the deadly "i" word).I think I'm going to go fetal position in a corner for a while.
