There was one thing that really bugged me today...

I know there was a lot of things wrong with the game today but one stood out to me the most...

Did anyone else notice Casspi pout like a baby when Brockman grabbed a defensive rebound over him? I think it was around the middle of the 3rd quarter?

He kind of threw his hands up and stood there and sulked while his team was down on the other end trying to score.

First he's crying about minutes. Now its his individual stats?

Seems to me, he needs to check his attitude.

You're setting yourself up to be shouted down.

But yes, Omri just seemed out of it today.

Actually, I did notice that as well. I'm surprised someone else picked up on that. I think Casspi does need to check his attitude but I also suspect that Brockman is so physical and aggressive that at times it can almost be irritating to his own teammates when they attack for rebounds.

The hell is that soposed to mean?...
Because there is a ****load of Casspi fans here we can't criticize him? Thats absurd.

If I see Tyreke do that, I'm calling him out as well.

This is a team.
I don't care who you are, forget your individual game and play like a team.

Exactly. I was just simply warning you that suddenly a significant chunk of our board membership base may dog pile you with insults.

I agree, however, no one should escape blame.

Maybe they need to step up and realize that rebounding isn't for the weak or timid. Hell, I love a guy who'll rip after a loose ball. If you want it bad enough, you get it.
It's like a drill I do with my kids - you rebound, you stay on the floor. Damned if it doesn't get ugly at times...in a good way.

I rather a player be upset he got outworked for a rebound, even by his own teammate, than have a player be upset his name is Spencer Hawes.

He's been doing that all year. As much as some have been saying international players play better team ball and such, they care just as much about stats as their domesitc couterparts.

A number of Peja's post game interviews I saw him staring at the stat sheet.

It would be nice if players were selfless robots whose every move was motivated by increasing the odds of winning.
But players care about getting their numbers, and that's fine as 99% of the time it's good for the team too.

Maybe its just me, but the last thing I'm going to get upset about is the expression on any players face during the heat of battle. Whereas I'm not a mind reader I'm not about to predispose what someone is thinking out on the court. For all I know he got wacked in the head by one of Brockmans elbows. Whatever! I think I would be more concerned with how the team is playing with Martin on the floor. But hey, its your thread. Enjoy!

Doesn't tend to work out that way.

My god, you seriously think Casspi, or any other player will get mad because his teammate got a rebound instead of him??? especially Brockman, who Casspi consider one of his better friends in the team?

This is how rumors and stigmas start, some guy(or girl, VF21 :o) "thinks" he saw something, there's a huge discussion over it, and in the end everyone only remembers Casspi is a player who only thinks about his stats...and based on what? your mind reading assumption..

Dude, this the whole point of having a message board. I'm sure about 95% of everything that is posted here is pure speculation or just plain wrong, but it's fun to be a fan and talk about various subjects. We don't have access to the players to just walk up to them and ask direct questions so the next best thing is to have a discussion about it with fellow fans.

If you don't like a thread, then stay out of it.

Indeed.

agreed. plus, it was pretty obvious. like, weird obvious. I'm not about to start questioning his drive or attitude, but one play really weirded me out.

And i thought this is a quality forum when the truth is not a bad word..
There's discussion, and there's one sided accusation, two different things.
Like you said, most likely no one will ask Casspi about it, so i have every right to remind people that this all thread is just pure assumption, or this little fact disturb your discussion?

I don't even understand what your point is. You are telling us to stop speculating. What exactly do you think a Sacramento Kings internet forum is? If you don't like to gossip or speculate about the Kings then GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

It's nice that you don't even understand my point, but you feel free to give me the "our way or the highway" routine again and again, ok my friend, you won, gossip all you want.

You throw words around like "truth" and "fact" like you know some ****. What do you know? I doubt you even seen the play we're talking about with your thick Casspi blinders on. Clearly there were a few of us who had seen something there...

Did you really need to come in here and throw your little temper tantrum?

This is really funny because you(LWP777) were the one to get mad at me for my speculation and gossip about Dick Bavetta. You even called me a 16-year old and for doing it

Common ...who cares? did he get upset? didn't he get upset? was it Brockman's elbow that hit him? was it Brockman's D%&g that hit him?

We need Omri to do better than 1-5 or 1-6 on threes. ATL would be a great place to start. PW should have reintroduced KM from the bench. Make him earn his minutes and show he can work with the young team we have. Hopefully this Bobcats game will be a step back in the direction of whatever combination works will be the lineup on the floor and it does not matter what your name is. No guaranteed minutes to anyone. this team look like crap now to guarantee anyone anything.

I wasn't really agreeing or disagreeing with him. I was merely pointing out that someone out there was bound to get mad at the OP.

I agree, however. Omri needs to shoot a higher percentage from behind the arc or realize that those shots aren't falling and find another way to contribute.

There should never be guaranteed minutes for anyone.

Dick Bavetta had absolutely nothing to do with us cutting a 24 point lead down to 1 today. Your claim is that he did. If you believe he was making calls to get us back in the game today then you're an idiot. Now as far as Bavetta screwing us down the stretch on a couple of calls I wouldn't argue that.

I called you a 16 year old but in reality I think you're probably closer to 13. You quote a convicted felon in your signature line. That says it all.

IM A MAN! IM 40! BAHAHA

yea Dick Bavetta didnt have to make the score close, we made it close, whats your point?

Ill put what ever i want in my sig. And normally the people calling others 16 years olds are in fact 16 years old themself. I rest my case with the private messege you sent wishing me to "die of aids"

Im not sure about that one particular play. I didnt catch it. But Omri does have some kind of a attitude problem. I know some of you will call that his "fire" or whatever, but Casspi still isnt very mature. All the fist pumping and chest beating he does, this team is bad. I know - every player does it, but that along with complaining about minutes .. he has some growing up to do.

Im not saying it isnt normal, it is. Just pointing it out.

I think a few things contributed to the Casspi situation:

a. He is resigned to the fact Tyreke is ball dominant and not passing much even on fastbreaks - a place where Casspi is hoping to use his speed to get some easy ones. Having to deal with Martin's return and its aftermath pushed Omri over the top and he erupted. He is a Euro player after all. He is used to the ball moving and the team looking for an open shot. He is not used to one guy pounding the ball and going one on five.
b. He felt great when he was rolling. They were very close to beat the lakers and cavs and then the league beeyotch slapped them into reality. Omri needs to grow, he doesn't understand/know this league. He probably really thought 4-5 weeks ago that they can get the 8th seed.
c. He has attitude and needs to mature. He can also learn from Brockman. I love Brockman in post game interviews - win or lose. Omri looks after a loss like some teenager who just got the news some chick dumped him or something. Sure I like that he cares but he needs to be more of a mench.
