TheJoker's goals for this summer

TheJoker

Bench
Trade Brad/Bibby for young talent.

Try to trade Kenny's contract by including him in a deal with Bibby.

draft Corey Brewer as you're 1st round pick.

sign Latrell Sprewell or Keith Van Horn over the summer

Replace Eric Musselman who has more experience of winning.

and last but not least...

TRADE KENNY THOMAS!

What the???

Why would we sign a loser like Spree/washed up Van Horn and draft another SF/SG?

People should know better than to pay much attention to threads like this.

;)

I like Artest and all, but I don't think he fits in our west coast offense.

In order for the Kings to compete in the West we will have to become a passing team (because we don't have the players to play the D).

I don't mind targeting the position, 2/3, but there should be players with the same value as Brewer that are a better fit. I would prefer someone like Jeff Green, Acie Law IV, Brandon Rush, Roy Hibbert or Darren Collison. All of them will probably grade out the same as Brewer and bring more to the table.

We should dump Artest if at all possible, even for a mid-late first. I like Tyler Hansbrough or Tiago Splitter in that draft position.

It's driving me nuts!

You're = you are, as in "you're standing in a puddle."
Your = possessive, as in "your car smells funny."

almost as bad as

They're / their / there

They're = they are, as in "they're lost in the wilderness."

their = possessive, as in "they lost their will to play."

there = location, as in "what's that smell over there?"

For example, "They're lost in the wilderness, and their car is stuck in that mud over there."

GAA! *rant over*

As for the trade, Petrie will be GM of the year if he can make half of the moves you're looking for. Mostly the KT move. However, I would be wary of what the Kings would get in return with a Bibby/KT package. There are plenty of horrific contracts in the NBA.

You don't need to do that much...

Keep Bibby at least for one more year (next year he would have a more exciting expiring contract and a LOT easier to move him and 2008 draft should be very deep in the Point Guard position, besides would give more time to Ronnie Price develop his game similiar to a Bobby Jackson type of player behind Bibby, of course, with a better coach.)

Pull the trigger on the Ron Artest - Corey Maggette who give us a lot of atlethicism and a guy who drives a lot and draws tons of fouls to go along with Kevin Martin , and both has 85% plus from the free throw line.

Draft someone like Al Horford, Spencer Hawes or Roy Hibbert so they can play 5 and send Brad Miller back to 4 like he used to play when we had Divac... IMO Brad would play better at 4, helping with his outside shooting and passing ability.

there you go without much magic

Bibby ~ Price
Martin ~ Douby ~ Garcia
Maggette ~ Salmons
Miller ~ SAR
Horford/Hawes/Hibbert ~ Williams

Or Petrie could try asking the Sonics for a sign and trade on Rashard Lewis... we could offer them a package including K9 and Artest...

I don't mind keeping Bibby, and Miller if we went back to the passing game w/ no defense.. They have proven that they can play that game. Artest has not.
