Technology has gotten way too good and they use way too many directional mics too close to the ring. Plus all those close-up shots of their faces smashed against the cage only sorta makes it all the more noticeable
Unless he's just announcing a lawsuit for wrongful terminations I guess it leads some credence to the whole thing is a work conspiracy?
The amount of vets from all walks of wrestling laughing at TK for being a total loser for "fearing for his life" is pretty hilarious. Even Russo pretty much owned him.
Trying to imagine if TK had called for Montreal.

turning Shinsuke into a chaotic neutral heel was probably the best thing that WWE has done for him since pulling him up from NXT. He’s not really a full blown heel so people can still sing along with his intro but he also gets to be a jerk to Seth Rollins for no reason despite the language barrier.
So much for that "cleansing"...

Because my mind is in the gutter, I can imagine that new Roderick Strong shirt being popular for much more problematic reasons than they intended.
I wouldn't say this counts as a spoiler since, as I am typing this, the match hasn't happened yet but, if this title match was between Becky and any of the five previous NXT women's champions, I'd say 'ink it in gold' for The Man. But, Stratton seems to be something of a pet project, on top of being over, so there'll probably be some sort of shenanigans that allow Tiffany to retain, not that I can't see Becky putting her over clean.
I like Tiffers but she has no business beating Becky but putting Becky in with her seems dumb so my question is who the hell thought putting them together is a good idea?
Also how is this good in any way for Becks?
So obviously some dusty finish that gets Stratton tons of heel heat is in order but why couldn't you do that against half the NXT roster? The only reason I can sort out is because the women's division is heel heavy right now.
So I'm guessing either:
- They're calling Stratton up early,
- Becky 's next feud is going to cost her the title in the rematch, or
- They want their next champion to also be a heel, and didn't want to do heel/heel for the title, and didn't want to give Roxanne a third short reign, but also didn't think that any of the other babyfaces on the NXT roster were ready (this is my guess).

If they're going to turn Thea doing it in a title match vs. Becky could be a good place to do it.
Maybe they just want to put it on Blair but didn't want to knock down Tiff? Blair feels like she should be the kayfabe champ.

Another thing I hadn't considered:
Maybe they just wanted to give Becky something to do, so that she's doing more than just treading water until they start the build to her and Rhea at Mania, and they figured, "Hey, might as well let her elevate the NXT Women's Championship!"

Wait, Thea Hail? Honestly, if they're thinking about giving her a serious run at the title, she'd be far more effective doing so as a face. I just don't see her wearing the "bad girl" persona that well as champion.
As a non-wrestling person, I'm just chiming in here to say I don't know what Thea Hail you're talking about.
I don't think we need to spoiler Thea spec outside of match results, it seems they are setting her up to snap. Of course they teased Duke turning for what seemed like a year and he never did so who knows. But I can see where she leaves Chase U after another towel throwing incident, goes on a run with heel tactics, possibly including a belt, only to have a redemption arc in the process.
She's gone from someone I saw as a total joke/comedy only person to someone who is a credible threat. Usually the next step in building that person is to give them a heel run to erase any lingering doubt as to her credibility.

I get this, and I also get why they would want to turn her heel. Just for the record, I am all for turning her heel if that is what is needed to give her a serious push. I just think that she's so over with the crowd that they could also, if they play their deck of cards right, push her as a face. Of course, if they play their deck of cards right, they can totally push her as a successful heel. I'm just afraid that it might be easier to kill her career moving forward if a heel run goes bad as opposed to if they continue down the current path, keep her as a face, and give her a serious run at the belt. This way, if that fails for whatever reason, they can just pull the plug on Thea the face, and work with Thea the heel.
With that being said...
If a Thea Hail heel run is inevitable, then, my fellow rasslin' fans, I am all for it.
