The Rudy Gay Effect

HereWeBoogie

Hall of Famer
Thought this was an interesting video. and he shows some pre/post trade stats that show Cousins stats are up across the board since the Rudy trade. IT's are up as well, but that isn't really a surprise since the trade put him in the starting lineup

Should have won that game, as long as the "Gay" effect makes everyone happy I'm all for it

I'm a once Rudy hater, turning into a Rudy believer. I just think he's in a good situation here, hopefully not playing for a contract. I'd be down to keep him as long as the price isn't too steep. He plays well with Cuz, that's what you want in a #2 guy.

He has most of two years left at 19 Mill per year. Rudy is set if he never signs another deal.

Rudy has played well, offensively, since the trade. His shooting % with the Kings is near 50% and he's not taking too many shots.

However, I feel it's only fair to point out that, as of last night, the Raptors were a Conference best 10-3 since trading Rudy Gay and the Kings have somehow become worse. Figures.

Hey if we get embiid, parker, or wiggins all because gay made us worse I'll call that an A+ trade and call PDA a genius

And then Rudy leaves after next year and we have 19 million to spend.

People worried that Rudy won't stay are kinda being silly. I mean, who cares? If the team gets better, he stays, if not, well, we want him to leave.

We lost Salmons, our best defender at the guard spot, of course we would be worse!

I'm only kinda joking.

Rudy is been playing great and is the 2nd option we've needed for awhile. Its interesting that IT has been filling up the stat sheet since becoming a starter again which could be argued to be detrimental to us overall particularly when he takes more shots then boogie and rudy. Whilst he remains close to shooting at 50% and averaging 8+ assists its difficult to turn on him however we do need more from our PG
