The Rookie/Sophomore game

Im not sure if Garcia has a chance in making the rookie team but do you think Kevin Has a chance even so that now Tony Allen isnt playing right now and Kevin is definitely a more inform player than JR.

heres who i think may start for the Sophomore

C. D Howard
PF. E Okafor
SF. L Deng
SG. A Iguodola
PG. B Gordon (although he may come of the bench with someone like Harris, Nelson or Telfair starting most likely Harris)

Bench:
A Jefferson
J Nelson
K Martin
D Harris

The bench im not sure about but i think kevin has a really good chance of making it. He has been arguably the most improved (lol i meant to say inform but now that you've said it improved does sound better) shooting guard of last years rookie class so far this season.

He does deserve it with the way he has been playing lately, but the last thing we need is martin injured too...sorry but i am not down with the idea.

Hate to break it to you, but Cisco and K-Mart have no chance of making those teams. If they had been starting the whole season and playing with more consistency, I could see it happening. I like those two a lot, but no chance.

i agree with your point on cisco but i think kevin has a decent chance of making the squad

For the last few games, Kevin has been playing like a beast, and would deserve to go based on those games. However, based on the season to date (and his career, assuming that picking soph players assumes how good they are this year and what they built off of last year, ie, how good they are looking as a pro) Kevin just does not deserve to go. I like him and all, but he needs to actually prove how good he is consistently. Garcia, alright, he's had a few good games. I don't really know how the rookie class has fared as a whole, but I would guess that a fair amount of players have played better and more consistent than him. Maybe if everyone else was a bust, but otherwise I don't see it happening.

Martin has a chance, although if he makes it, it'll most likely be as an injury replacement; They send nine players for each squad, and Martin is probably in about a four or five way tie for the ninth-best sophomore.

The only locks for the team, in my opinion, are Howard, Okafor, Gordon, Deng, Iguodala, Josh Smith, Nelson and Delonte West. That leaves one spot. And there are five other guys that have been playing at (or maybe a little above, but just barely) the same level as Martin this year: Chris Duhon, Devin Harris, Sebastian Telfair, Shaun Livingston (who's actually fallen a little from last year), and Al Jefferson, with Beno Udrih and Tony Allen, who played in the game last year, just about falling off the map, as well as J.R. Smith... when it comes down to it, the spot will probably go to Jefferson, but that's more of a function of that team being short of big men than Jefferson being any better than the other five potentials.

Garcia, however, has a much higher hill to climb: at least seven rookies that are clearly better: Bogut, Paul, Villanueva, Deron Williams, Frye, Granger and Robinson, as well as another six that are probably better as well: Felton, May, Marvin Williams, Diogu, Jack and Head. Outlook not so good.
