The REAL thing - a pic of the gold jersey

Here it is, taken with Kingsgurl's cell phone and sent to me about 20 minutes ago.

It looks greenish in that picture...maybe you weren't too far off with the thought of the "lime green " jerseys.;)

(I know cell phone camaras aren't the best quality.)

To you they're ugly. In that picture (of the guy holding them) it's obvious the lighting effects it to make it look greenish.

its not the light its the lens, my old cell phone camera also added a green tint to pictures.
 
::shakes head:: Now thats one ugly jersey. And whats with the shiny silver stripe down the side? Doesn't even match. That's awful. It's now official, the Sacramento Kings have the worst alternate jerseys in the league.
 
hideous...just hideous...

And what is with that shiny silver? On the other pics it just looked like a dull gray/silver. I don't think we'll see this jersey for very long.

*shrugs* It's still ugly. And the rest of the pics don't have a green tint so I don't see why just that one would. Besides, the lady in the background has what is clearly a white shirt - no green tint there.

I'm just posting the pics I received via a NEW cell phone.

EDIT: Sorry. I was wrong. There is a greenish tint to the jersey.

But that's just one of those replica ones u can buy for like 40-50 bucks. I do agree that its ugly, but the one in the other thread showed the actuall one which is not that bad. Still ugly, but not THAT ugly.

It's the one everyone is going to be buying. You're really splitting hairs if you're going to believe something posted on Amazon is more accurate than a picture that was taken TONIGHT, live and in person, at ARCO. I have bought a number of "replica" jerseys and the color is virtually always correct. It's just one of the things they strive for.

EDIT2: The color is more deep metallic Gold.

I know but the quality and the texture of the jerseys are totally different. I've seen jerseys that I've liked and jerseys that I don't like and no matter what I originally thought of them, they always looked better with the stiching and the thickness of the jersey. I'm just saying that the jersey the guy is holding is not the ones the players would wear. And I know that the one the guy is wearing will be the one many people buy. This is just giving me a headache and I'm not even trying to argue that the jersey is better than it is lol.
 
OK, he's the real scoop guys and gals. Yes, the color in that picture is just a tad off, a little bit more greenish on the jersey, for reference, the shirt 1kingzfan is wearing is purple, not bluish. It's like the effect you see on TV a lot, where our road purples look blue. The REAL jersey is a slightly different color then the replica. For starters, it's shiny. A shiny, yet mellow, Gold. By mellow, I mean it isn't in the strident yellow category of certain other, putrid color schemes;)

Also, 1kingzfan didn't buy that jersey, they gave a bunch of them away (threw them, dancers gave them out etc.) and he got one.

He bout that Kevin Martin, throwing down a couple spectacular dunks in the dunk contesat, eh?

umm the dallas mavericks jersey is pretty dam ugly
 
even if someone would give it to me for free, NO WAY in this world you'll see me keep it in my closet or worse, WEAR IT!

Pretty telling when the first thing the talking heads on Ch. 13 say after showing the film from Fandemonium is:

"Gee, they sure look like the Laker uniforms."

Sorry to disappoint, but my only purpose in posting that comment was to show that those of us around here whose first reactions were that it looked like a Lakers uniform weren't the only ones who thought that way...
 
those things are pretty ugly.

my advice is don't buy em, hit em where it hurts, then maybe the'll make a better looking one next year

and thats a pretty good pic for a cell phone camera. my cell phone camera is terrible
