Carmichael dave talked to George Maloof yesterday for 30 min. According to Dave, he asked George why they haven't spent more to improve the team. George came back with there is nothing wrong with team and 16 thousand people showing up on a Sunday afternoon to watch 2 non playoff teams proves that. Dave said he took from the interview that they really truely believe what they are saying through the media. George really thinks the product on the court is good. So, the more we show up to games as fans, the more the Maloofs see that everything is A ok. Reassuring isn't it? This is why I'm no longer supporting ANYTHING Maloofs. They're delusional!!!!!

He's crazy all right...crazy like a fox.

If their stance is that the product is good, then they're mistaken. They're turning a profit, but not enough for long-term stability. George wants us to think that this is the best that they'll put together, so that we'll get frustrated and boycott the team. That will allow them to lose on attendance figures, and make it easier for them to move the team. They must have seen Major League over Easter sunday or something.

It takes insane to know insane, George. I work with teenagers. I know insane. You want to take it to the Maloofs? Seriously, take the bus to the games. Parking is where it will hurt. If you're from out of town, park somewhere outside then bus in, or do something similar. Carpool like crazy. Have a nice meal at In N Out before you go.

This is the best solution. Go to the games to support the Kings and the NBA. Takes the attendance card away from the Maloofs, looks good on TV and let's us show who the villains are with signs, chants, etc.

Hit the Maloofs where it hurts: parking, consessions, merchandise. Starve them out in ways that don't garner national headlines, but makes their business model unsustainable.

I dream of a season long sellout streak with minimal receipts from the above three. And write the other owners and national media so they know exaclty what we're doing.

There's three possible ways I can interpret that comment from George:

1. He's basically saying that they won't be attempting to field a contending team because he wants Sacramento fans to be disillusioned with the team and stop supporting it so it will be easier to move.

2. He's basically saying that they won't be attempting to field a contending team because he really believes it's the best option for the Maloof's interests. Basically taking over the Donald Sterling role of going cheap on absolutely everything to guarantee a profit year after year whether they are in Sacramento or elsewhere.

3. He's simply nuts and tomorrow he'll come out and say that they fully intend to compete for a championship and will spend the money to do so and that anyone who accuses him of saying otherwise can't be trusted.

There are parking lots not far away from ARCO if you don't mind walking an extra few hundred feet or so. Save $10 and hit them in the wallet. Just don't take up all the parking spots of businesses that are open during the game. Take unused ones at locations that close by 5 or 6. And frequent those you park next to instead of the ARCO consession stands!

Fixed that for you.

No, seriously, does it actually matter what these guys say at all at this point? Do we need to dissect every little thing they say? I say no. They're liars, and they're going to lie. We know what they want to do (move the team), no matter what it is that they say, and the only question is the manner and timing in which they do it (or try to do it).

When Georgie has a press conference and says that he has actually done something significant - "We have filed for relocation"; "We have filed an anti-trust lawsuit against the NBA"; "We have decided to violate NBA By-Laws and move the team to Anaheim against the wishes of the NBA, effective immediately" - then I'll listen. Otherwise whatever he is saying is white noise, and I don't have the time or the energy to parse the half-truths from the outright lies, nor does anything he says even MERIT that kind of effort on my part. They're dead to me.

There is a drive in us to get even and it is satisying but I don't believe it best serves my purpose. Money is the owner's problem and what keeps them from finally signing the deal that is now dead. To keep my Kings here the best option I see is helping them continue to make money. That way they might stay and they might do the cheaper thing for them, cheaper than the "deal", and that is invest in the team and players.

With this attitude I won't taste blood but the Kings are more likely to stay and, if they have to sell, then maybe they would be more likely to sell locally. If I miss on all counts I'll be missing the taste of blood, too. Oh well. Make a choice and hope for the best.

I wish we could get this out to every person stepping foot into PBP. Yes, attend the game and cheer for the team. BUT it stops there. No over-priced food or beverages, no souvenirs (you can get shirts at Wal-Mart) and no parking revenue.

After reading George's comment about them putting a good product on the court, I am done even trying to figure out what he's thinking. I don't waste much time trying to figure out what the barking dog across the street is thinking, either. I just wish he'd STFU. That's kind of how I feel about George.

These are good ideas. Is it possible to publicize this somehow?

We need to find a huge parking lot and stick a huge sign that says "Free Parking, Free Shuttle #SUCKITMALOOFS", I'll volunteer renting a bus, who wants to drive it? :D Maybe even have an "off the grid" type food presence there before and after the game to keep people away from concessions during the game :)
