The official "Wow, we really suck" thread

iif we're gonna suck this year we might as well break some records. the past few years we've half heartedly sucked and the results have been the 10, 11 or 12th pick. we missed out on Oden and Rose. let's go all out and lose by 80 points! who's with me on this???

Only if it is within the next two weeks and it basically forces our hand to make at least one trade (and hopefully a good one) by the deadline. Otherwise, no way - I like my games competitive.

There really isn't much to learn in games where you are getting blown off the court. Some of these young guys hopefully will stick with us, so we want them in key situations where we can forgive the results. You can't tell me Kobe didn't benefit down the road by bricking so many key shots in his first few years with the Lakers.

I like it!

Best part is if we do this right, get some 80pt whoopins in, maybe give up 200pts in a game, then no matter how bad we suck in future years, it will still look like an improvement.

Be careful what you wish for. You may run right out of pretty girls before it's over!

If the Rays can do it, so can we. Only took them 10 years, but judging by the comments on this board, I believe we have the patience.

If he does run-out, I am pretty sure I could come-up with a few additional names.:D

For the record, I think I am a true fan given that I watch and keep track the team even during these very dark days. With that, I have no problem saying that the play we have been seeing on the court is disgraceful.

Its called sucking with style my friends. Why merely suck, when you can SUCK and put all those sucktitude records out of reach forever. Then you come around next year, get beat by 40, and its not even Top 10. Not even worth notice. You can never set another sucking record again, because you did it so well while you had a chance.

Suck like you mean it! :D

Why don't we start douby instead of bobby brown and udrih. At least he makes his shots when they don't count/don't make a difference...which for now is about the 12min mark of the 1st quarter for us every game.

That team sure did suck last night. They just plain sucked. I've seen teams suck before but they were suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked!

Just one more remark, re: when should the rebuild have started. Imho, the ideal point would have been when it was clear that Bonzi would not return. The one advantage that the Kings had had at that point was that nobody could defend both Artest and Wells. With him (or his agent) refusing to be reasonable, it was basically a foregone conclusion that there was no shot at respectability any more. At that point Petrie should have traded everything worth trading (Bibby/Miller/Artest) and let the new coach, although it, regrettably, was Eric Musselman, start with a clean slate and everything. The Kings find themselves possibly in the position to draft Oden, whilst, hopefully, still realising that Musselman is a tool and then, maybe, SvG can even be convinced to coach this team (I love what he has done with Orlando).

I know, hindsight is 20/20 and all, but one can dream, right?

Its not just 20/20 hindsight, its solid analysis. I was saying much the same thing as it happened.

I'm with you! At this point the only positive that can come from this season is getting the #1 draft pick. There's not much out there, but it can't hurt to have the leverage.

Yes, there were some that wanted to blow this thing up three years ago. And if we did it three years ago we could finally see some light at the end of the tunnel. Right now, there is no light.
