The lakers had a 17 FT advantage in game 5. I don't think them shooting more FT's is gonna do them any good this time around. If Kobe can't get into the paint once again Boston will be hoisting the trophy tonight. Let's go C's!

The Celtics will need to bring their game 5 must win intensity and turn it up another notch. The lakers will be desperate and will try to jump on them for an early double digit lead. The Cs will need to weather that storm.

If the game goes to halftime with the Cs leading, tied or just within a few points, the lakes will start to feel the nerves in the second half. The Cs needs to continue to move the ball like they finally did in game 5 and make the lakers' D rotate, drawing their bigs out of position. Go after every offensive rebound and block out the lakers on the other end to avoid 2nd chance points. If its a close game, the Cs have a better chance than the Ls.

I could be jaded but I believe 2010 is different than 2002. For one the Lakers have 2 home games so I don't think the NBA will be so quick to influence what is probably a must win game for the Celts. Second there is a lot more scrutiny on the refs now than there was then, largely due in part to that game. And LA is already getting more FTs so just how lopsided can they make it?

27 in the 4th quarter?

27 in the 4th quarter?

LOL

I do agree with pdxKingsFan that the NBA has toned down their influence with the refs in the recent yrs because the WCF GM6 has become so widely known as the "rigged" example of the NBA. But a lot of times in close games, all you need is a few calls down the stretch to change the out come. Thats why I feel the Cs will have to beat the lakers in a clear fashion to come out winning by a few point on the scoreboard tonight.

The other thing I forgot to mention was that the 2008 finals was also well watched and the NBA did not force it an extra game.

Injured his right knee on an innocent looking play. Bynum with the over-the-back foul, but didn't have anything to do with it I don't think

Sounds like the Celtics are in trouble then. It would be an epic upset if they could somehow manage to beat LA in game 7 playing in Los Angeles though.

celts gettn robbed here. did perk even get a call for them riding his back?
Yeah, it was a called foul on Bynum. Nothing dirty, just aggressive play on Bynum's part. Game 7 will be awfully difficult without Perkins in the middle, he is pretty much the key to their defensive game plan. That being said, I wouldn't count them out. Boston is a veteran savvy team who might just find a way to win. Maybe Sheldon Williams can give them an unexpected boost off the bench ;).

perkins out its time for the C's to get really physical and dirty.

by that i mean when they foul kobe or any one its not just a hold.. slam them to the ground! give them a man's foul! dont let them get a shot up... they really need to get physical and show their true grit. its a very huge battle and upset but they can do this!

They're really gonna need Sheed to step up and contribute if they wanna win this IMO: stay away from foul trouble, not get manhandled on the boards and some offensive contribution should do the trick. I'm sure the Celtics will bounce back but I'm hoping they get a good lead and hold onto it and not let the refs influence the final outcome.

Gonna watch this game with a lot of friends that are lakers fans.. hopefully I don't look like a fool for wearing my Bird jersey and cheering for Boston when the game ends.
