Someone screwed up. 
The whole point of this is supposed to be fairly simple: The number you post IN the thread has to match the number of the post OF the thread.
In addition, we made it a rule that you can't follow yourself. I mean post whoring is one thing, but there are such things as extremes! I then revised the rule to say you can follow yourself, but only after a decent time interval has elapsed.
I like monk's idea - so I'm going to get this thread back on track. (DON'T post an apology in here, please! Or if you do, make sure you include the mandatory number in the post. This isn't rocket science...is it?)
