I really don't see how or why Miami would be interested in Brad. Let alone with KT in the mix.
 
I voted Miller and Moore just because I want them both gone. At first I didn't like this idea because I don't see what Marion does for us, but then I realized it's not as much about him as it is about moving some pieces and clearing room for youth. The only problem is that we already have Salmons and this trade hurts us whether we want to trade or keep him because Salmons is more productive than Marion now and will get his minutes eaten into. Flip side, Marion can play out of position, SG, PF, or C, granted it might create match-up problems but he's done it before. Less minutes for Salmons means less trade value, although I think I am in the minority in wanting to keep him- he fills a need and is a good value for what he's getting paid.

The plus side to this trade is getting a large expiring contract, opening minutes of Hawes and Thompson (JT will probably split minutes with Marion at the four) while also, I think, not improving our talent this year too much- Marion has been a dud in Miami and so we can still get a high pick with him on the floor.

Lineup:

Udrih/Brown
Martin/Douby
Marion/Salmons
Thompson/Marion
Hawes/Williams/Marion

We are very thin at C, but could probably pick up a discounted one in the offseason or find an unsigned free agent to shore up some depth (is Justin Williams still available?)

I think this team would be horrendous for the rest of the year. We might be lucky to win 20 games...Ricky Rubio anyone? I firmly believe a great young PG could turn this team around (see: Rose, Paul). Next years line up comes out something like this:

Rubio/Udrih (who I think will be a great backup for a top tier team)
Martin
Salmons
Thompson
Hawes

The team is seriously lacking in depth but as long as JT and Spencer continue to develop and reach their full potential we will have a solid 1-5, and with all the caproom we have clearing, especially if KT gets moved a la one of the other deals posted here we have much more room to work with; and given so many teams are saving for 2010 (why the Heat might take on Kenny) we could sneak in and grab some free agents in 2009 if it turns out to be a buyer's market. Okur and Odom are both possibilities, since Boozer and Bynum might be taking up large chunks of money from Utah and LA, so we could end up with a team like this:

Rubio/Udrih
Martin/Salmons/Douby
Odom/Salmons
Okur/Thompson
Hawes/Okur

Suddenly we have depth and talent. Bring in Avery Johnson and we will be in the thick of the Western Conference again.

They get a center to patch some holes in the short term. Thomas and Miller both expire in 2010 versus Marion who expires in 09. Better FA class then than now. Marion is clearly not working out in Miami, so they might as well shoot for the future. Teams regularly make moves like this that don't make sense in terms of the immediate return on talent, which is what a trade like this would be for both teams.
 
I don't think it's realistic with Thomas or Moore included. Brad and one of Udrih/Bobby Jackson makes much more sense for Miami. The only way Thomas is included is with a 3rd team that sends a decent PG or SF to Miami, so it's basically Indiana in something like:

Heat: Brad, Tinsley
Pacers: Kenny
Kings: Marion

But Brad+ Udrih or Bobby is still much more realistic (probably Bobby because of the cap).

Miami is in desperate need of a starting center. Considering the style they play, Miller would fit right in. I doubt they would want any part of KT.
 
My preference would be Miller and Salmons for Marion and their first round pick in the next draft.

Here's the problem with Marion as a trading chip....

1) If he dealt to a team that wants his TALENT, then they risk losing him for nothing via Free Agency hence a loweing of his TRADING value.

2) If he is dealt to a team that wants his EXPIRING contract, then they obviously are looking to rebuild and his TALENT level in their eyes for value is diminished thus lowering his TRADING value.

If Miami wants to get SOMETHING back in return for Marion, because it's pretty aparant he's not in their future plans. Then moving Marion NOW is vitally important.

Brad Miller is at least a player that can hold down their most pressing need, the 5 for the next year and half. Moving Marion also opens up minutes for Beasley/Haslem and to create a more balanced line-up. Not to mention Brad's greatest asset is his ability to set a pick which opens up guards. Dwayne Wade's game would go to a whole new level with Brad IMO. Picks and passes from the High post to Wade cutting to the hole. Wade would average 30+ IMO.

It seems the Kings are at least pondering the idea of a Marion for Brad Miller swap which might include Kenny Thomas. While the Knicks have a standing offer of Stephon Marbury for Marion straight up which really isn't moving Miami towards a deal. It seems with each passing day that it is far more likely Marion is moved before the February 19th deadline. The deal would have to return a legitimate starting caliber double-double type center according to league sources or Miami will hold on to Marion and go shopping this summer.
