If I understand correctly, Ron can opt out of his contract after this year. And he'd have to be crazy not to want a raise. 
Its painful to think about for me but it seems safe to assume that we're in for something of a replay of the Webber situation. We all try to do what's best for ourselves even when we're wrong, so I don't mean to get into the "players should be LOYAL to us" junk because its silly to think that way. So basically, its hard for me to tell what Ron might have in mind but I won't be shocked if he wants to go to NY or LA. On the other hand, at least the Maloofs are trying to bond. He's the closest thing to an alpha dog that we have so its a bit of a pickle.
Might as well think about it now because its a sure bet the writers will start on it someday soon.
