[MLB] The “Sacramento” A’s Thread 2026

Braden turning into Fosse and talking about snacks constantly improving the A’s broadcasts so much. Chris Caray doing more of the games this season helps. He and Braden have developed a really good chemistry as a broadcast team.

He’s also unfortunately the one guy that the A’s don’t have locked up long term (somehow) so he’s going to look even badder badder in a Dodgers uniform in the near future :(

You know... I think I would rather see any of these players in a Dodgers uniform than a Las Vegas uniform anyway. He still has two more years of arbitration eligibility so the A's have time to figure out a new contract but he is going to get a lot more expensive starting next year. Patrick Bailey appears to be better suited to a backup role, maybe the Giants will make a bid on him?

Lawrence Butler may have just had the coolest/most athletic slide into home to avoid a tag I’ve ever seen

Nick Kurtz being a surprisingly solid base stealer despite being a stereotypically buoy power hitter is something you can only get in baseball. Would be like if Isaiah Thomas were secretly a good shot blocker.

Bangaliers with a MASSIVE dinger in his first at bat back from paternity leave.

And just like that, the offense has returned! Shea isn't just the straw that stirs the drink for this team... he's also the ice, the cup, the cup holder, and the little frilly cocktail umbrella.

Distinctly remember all the talk before this game being the stupid feud he was having with A-Rod only for it to dissolve somewhere around the sixth inning when everyone started to understand what was happening. Also Dallas hugging his grandma is right up there with the most iconic moments in sports in my book

Clarke is already on the IL so I have no idea who the A’s could possibly send down/out to open up a slot for Bolte but at this point they pretty much have to find a way to get the guy up to the big leagues. (Or they could trade him for a stud pitcher)
