Thanks for the memories Kings!!!
Sad to say,
I'm now officially a Bulls/Wade Fan.... I have been a Bulls fan since the MJ days and a Kings fan since JWill arrived...

But right now, my joy, passion, excitement and watching Kings basketball is suddenly fading away, and I know deep down, I no longer like/love this new Kings! And that is the fact!

I willl still be here, visiting this board, predicting Kings game (damn I missed 2 straight games now) reading all your opinions, etc....

I'll say it again, Thanks for the memories Kings......

I'll surely miss the old Kings, Bobby, Bibby and Pedja....Good Luck in the playoffs Kings.....

GO Bulls! GO Heat! Hehehe

Cool.

So basically as long as team does good you support them but the minute they face adversity you're gone?

Buh-bye!

Delete it?

Why?

He is entitled to his opinion. Quite frankly, if he wants to proclaim to the world that he's a bandwagon fan, that's on him.

That's pretty common for fans from outside the geographical area. I used to like the old 80's Chicago Bears. By the early 90's the swagger and intimidation was done, Sweetness was long gone etc., and there was just no real reason to follow the random teams which followed.

That might well be true, but I think this is the first time since I've been on this board I've seen someone come right out and put the "bandwagon fan" label on themselves...

Besides, DA BEARS were different. ;)

The Suns were the worst team in the Western Conference last season... Look where they are now; possible championship contenders (God forbid, but still).

It'll be a long season and offseason, I'll be the first to say that, but we could have just as big a turnaround.

I personally like this team more than ever now and I'll support them as strong as I can.
Also,I can't really understand when people like and support one team, and then the other one, etc.
You can really love just one team, when you change your support, that is not right thing...

I'm sure it's a sad day for you, nAj jAn™. I certainly won't disparage your personal style of team support. Good luck with wherever your fandom takes you.

Very nice comments, uolj, and very diplomatic. I'm sorry to say I couldn't respond that way...

So all you are really saying is that you were not a fan, just someone who enjoys watching a certain type of basketball being played....

What's the fun in that?!?!?

I think I had as much fun rooting for the '80-90's Kings as underdogs as I have the past few years as a "favorite" to win games. :)

It has been a long time since Phoenix were real contenders, so I don't know why there's this belief that they made a quick turn around. It's taken them years to get to this point.

You know, that is actually a VERY GOOD question...

Why would someone (who hasn't really been an active member on the forum except for the prediction game) come here and announce they're no longer Kings fans????

It's almost like putting a "Kick me" sign on your OWN back.

;)

I knew you wouldn't delete it VF21 I was just trying to make a point that we do not need these types of "fans" The Kings are our team through thick and thin. We just happen to be losing a lot weight right now....

Wow..I thought only Laker fans were bandwagon fans.;)
Good riddence..I'm sure the Kings and REAL Kings fans won't miss you one iota.

Heck, I've been rooting for the Lakers for 30+ years and even though they're in the rebuilding mode...I'm still behind them 110%. Do I still have a Laker decal on my car?? You bet. Do I still wear Laker stuff?? You bet. As I've heard others on Laker boards lately complaining also, there is one reply that fits "fans" of any team..."Either you are a fan of the (Lakers, Kings or whatever team), or you never really were."

There's Alot of Players/Teams I Support ...

I'm just a freakin' NBA/NFL/MLB fan.

A's first, then Giants, 49er's first, then Ray-duz, King's first, then Warriors

I'm still a Warrior Fan .... been once since the Nate Thurmond days. However, I didn't like them beating our King's.

Geographically, I'm a Kings fan ... and they get my FULL PLEDGED SUPPORT. Having lived up here since '95 ... that's where my hard-earned money goes.

I guess you can call me a "All No-Cal Sports Fan".

I'll always root for C-Webb ... no matter what colors he's wearing.
I root for the Wizards cause of Antwan and Gilbert. But, when our King's play them ... I obviously root for our King's.
One of the weirdest ones was when Owens, Richmond and Marculonis went from the Warriors to the King's or from the King's to the Warriors.
I'm gonna have a heckuva time with all the A's pitchers that were traded to other teams.

I know, I'm rambling here ... but, you're right VF .... openly admitting being a Bandwagon Fan. I don't think I've ever given up or completely abandoned a player or team because of performance (or lack of).

As a Bears season tix holder, I can assure you that now is a good time to jump back on the bandwagon, before it is too obvious. We will welcome you back with open hands. ;)

Cool !!! Thanks, but no thanks ... I've got my allegiances full with a rebuilding 49'er team and a "what's gonna happen this year" Ray-duh team.

I was a Bears fan for a little while. The years Da Bears had Chad Overhauser. Big guy ... 6'4" .. 6'5" about 320+ lbs .... family friend. Went to Rio American HS here in Sac-Town. I think he's with the Houston Texans right now ... injured

I may wonder a bit here from the topic at hand.

As a kid I do admit to giving up on a team. I was in Indiana and loved the California Angels. This was during the Rod Carew days. They kept blowing it every year and in fact that team had to have pulled off one of the biggest choke jobs in sports history...then a few years after that I moved out here and I went to my first Giants game and have been a fan ever since.

People change teams for different reasons but as I got older I never understood it.

I still support the same teams for over 25 years. Although the one team I jumped on the wagon for was the Cowboys and I have been a fan since age 7.

I know I got off topic. Back onto topic

Enjoy the Bulls and Miami you may get to cheer for a team that gets a ring this year. I just don't understand how the feeling can be the same if they won it all. What fun is cheering for a team that wins a ring without going through the bad times, the tough stretches and the times that make you tear up? It just feels so much better when you put your heart into a team and they win and it hurts that much more when they don't. That IMO makes being a fan of the Kings worth it.

GO KINGS!!!!
