And now for the homer in us all "a feel good, rah-rah, GO KINGS thread"

Another Kings season over, 25 years of Kings basketball in the books. I’d just like a take a moment and say thank you to the team and the organization for good year of basketball. Yes, despite a record of 25-57, I consider the year a “good one.”

There was a lot of cheer about this season despite the disappointments and controversies both on and off the court. We came into the season wallowing in the frustrations of last year and the uncertainty of the off-season, but a few weeks into the season the excitement began to grow and by the end of the calendar year we had reason to believe again. Now that the season is over, I think we call look forward to that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel as we watch this team grow and come together with the promise of playing past April 15.

So again, thank you players, coaches and staff. I look forward to next season and await what hopes to be an interesting and hopefully productive summer.

And thank you Jeremy, and Kingsfans.com for another year on the #1 Sacramento Kings message board.

Thank you Kings! I'm feeling more positive about the future than after last season, that's for sure. I appreciated that our young players played hard and competed almost every game. There was effort, heart and hustle.

Thank you Coach Westphal and your assistants for rescuing us from coaching hell. I wish you a bright future with the Kings. I know you want to win and care about this young team.

Thank you Maloofs for really reaching out to the fans this season and trying every darn suggestion you could find to boost attendance and interest in the Kings. That included some great pricing deals that allowed me to attend a record number of games for me, plus treat family to a couple of games, too. (Credit our own 6th with several assists and big assist to Cruzdude for the Clippers game at Staples. )

Thank you Mayor Johnson for reviving my flagging hopes for a new arena.

Thank you everyone who works at the arena for a great job.

Thank you board moderators for doing a great and very thankless job.

Thanks Piksi and Ryan for game intros and Brick for your scouting reports and grades.

Well the season is over. It came and went fast. The young team showed some promise. Only lack of experience kept them from winning more games with the players they have on the team now. The first half of the season was fun and exciting. Those last dozen games were frustrating. The Kings have a star in the making... someone that you can build a team around. I hope Geoff Petrie continues making good picks and personnel changes for the improvement of the team. Thanks to the Kings players, Coach Westphal and especially to Mr. Tyreke Evans for bringing back excitement and hope for the organization. Thanks to the members here for your appreciated insight on the Kings. Have a great summer. Hope Springs Eternal. Gooooo Kings!!!!!!!

Here is to a better year next season. This year was better than the last, but not yet where we want to be. But the direction has been set and we are moving in the right direction. Another draft, another free agency period, and we are bound to make it back to the playoffs in short order.

Were all pretty optimistic about the future, the drafts coming up and FA also where many possibilities await. Training camp for next seasons around the corner, we have a solid coach and a good young core group something we couldnt say seasons past. The organisation was active in the community and the future really does look bright, things can only go up from here on in.

The base is laid, thanks to all, the hard work for a bright future is continuous
