Thank you, Francisco Garcia

I remember having a lot of discussions over Garcia as a young player. I argued he was better than Salmons, and even Kevin Martin at times back when they were his competition for playing time. He was a good player for this team for a long time. Always a class act off the court. Good luck, Cisco. The league needs more players with your attitude.

If I wasn't so pissed off at the trade overall this would have sparked a bigger reaction from me, because for a long, long time I really thought Francisco Garcia was going to do big things in this league. He had all the tools and intangibles to be a 'super role player', but injuries and bad coaching/management stopped that from being a reality.

Look, I don't really want to bash Cisco is his farewell thread but it wasn't just injuries and bad coaching/management that held him back from doing "big things" in the league. Certainly, injuries set him back but I never saw him as a superb talent. He had his chances and it just wasn't in him to be great. He was, however, a great guy and a great teammate.

I will miss Francisco. Always positive, always supportive, always a great teammate, always the consummate professional. I loved his intensity and effort on the court at both ends and his 3-point shot. He was a positive for the team, the fans and this city. I wish you all good things in the future, Cisco.

DITTO loved his heart!
