[Rumor] Terrible Kings trades proposed by the internet super thread 2024/2025 edition

I’m really liking this one for the kings. Sexton, Collins, our pick back from Atlanta and the 21st pick in this draft for Sabonis and Keegan.

That would save me a lot of money on League Pass for I'm imagining the remainder of the decade.

Will Z getting into the bad trade business. I actually like Kat and he is a great talent if you insist on trading Domas, but you can’t have an unprotected first and a guy that people are sleeping on (imo) too.

The Kings trying to replicate the Bulls and Wolves when they sucked is totally the way, lol. The Bullves.

Domas’s problem in the postseason is that he tries too hard to the point of just going way too out of control to be any good and just gets flustered.

KAT’s might be the exact opposite to the point of him just randomly playing drop on defense when the rest of his team is definitely not doing that simply because he doesn’t really feel like trying too hard/ his legs are too hurt to do anything.

I honestly would take Sabonis 10 times out of 10.

The Knicks kind of showed it. You can stack defense to the freaking hills from SG-PF. If you have a less than desirable defensive combo at PG and C it will only go so far. You will get caught eventually. Thibs as coach... that guard/wing depth... still couldn't save them.

Just saw this I don’t know what happened to him but his last handful of trade articles have been an embarrassment. How do you justifying adding an unprotected pick and a young player for KAT absolutely wild

The one thing about Domas is that he’s really good at running those hedge looks on defense that Thibs loves. KAT has NEVER been remotely good at point of attack actions (he has been a really good weak side rim defender in the past though). If we did that trade, the Knicks are immediately better than they were this season lol

How about we surround Domas with defense and shooting for once in his career before determining he is chopped liver? I understand that it’s hard to build a true defensive team when your center isn’t a rim protector but we just haven’t had enough defense, size and length to give him a real shot.

Eh, is he your best player? It might not matter if so. I really wish Domas had come out and said, "I need defenders". He came out and said he needed a PG. Haha, that was concerning to say the least. Guess he didn't feel all those butt punchings defensively this year. Not enough at least. lol.

I see him as the offensive hub, gotta find scoring elsewhere. I don’t think our offense this year maximized him in any way and I think our “defense” minimized him. I agree on the point guard though. I’m ok with adding one but I wish they would double down on Sabonis as the hub.

This might be like Fox, he just isn't that guy personality wise. Which is fine, he's still a hell of a player. Fox worked his way out to not be that guy in the end.

The Sacramento Kings are in a very strange position this offseason. As a result, All-NBA center Domantas Sabonis guarantee is not a guarentee to be in Sacramento long-term. “Many around the league are preparing for the possibility of the Kings becoming big sellers ahead of the 2026 NBA trade deadline next February, which would likely result in Sabonis requesting a trade should a clear direction not present itself.”

The question is always why? Almost every trade is why. Ain't likely trading out of the mess like this. So, the Kings go from recreating the Bulls to the Twolves from 10 years ago? lol.

At least this time they let the Kings be the team to get the first round picks. Most of these KAT Sabonis trade ideas have the Kings giving up like three picks despite Sabonis probably being the better player in the deal in the first place.

In fact, teams are likely looking at this Pacers team and thinking, “if they're able to take OKC to game 7, maybe we're not that far off ourselves.” One team that will be really interesting to watch is the Memphis Grizzlies. In a huge move, the Grizzlies traded Desmond Bane to the Orlando Magic for a slew of first-round picks, Cole Anthony, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

Two new teams have popped up in a bit of offseason trade buzz surrounding Utah Jazz guards Jordan Clarkson and Collin Sexton. According to NBA insider Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, the Sacramento Kings and Dallas Mavericks have been among those linked to a trade for Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson. "Austin Ainge, the new president of basketball operations for the Utah Jazz, is open to all trade offers coming his way," Siegel wrote.

The Sacramento Kings biggest need this offseason is at the point guard position, but they still have ample needs outside of someone to run their offense. One of those other needs is to bolster their wing depth, as it has been for years. Even when the Kings had Harrison Barnes and Keegan Murray, their wing depth behind the starters was lacking. And then the Kings swapped Barnes for DeMar DeRozan, and they once again faced issues against long and athletic teams last season, as Murray was the only true wing until Jake LaRavia arrived via trade. So while the point guard pursuit is getting all the headlines , Scott Perry will need to have at least one follow-up move to bring in wing help if the Kings
