11. Sacramento 119, Dallas 118
Game 5, 2004 Western Conference 1st Round
April 29, 2004
Arco Arena, Sacramento

The Kings entered into this series as underdogs based on their poor ending of the 03-04 regular season. After sweeping the first two games at Arco and splitting two in Dallas, the Kings started Game Five very badly falling behind by 17 mid way through the second quarter. Behind Mike Bibby’s 36 points (in what I consider his greatest game as a King), the Kings roared back. Dirk Nowitski’s last second shot from the wing, fell short and the Kings moved on to the second round. This was one of the only two playoff games I have ever attended. The two things I remember from that game is a Darius Songaila slam dunk in the middle of the Kings comeback run, that completely rocked the house and the absolute venom from Kings fans against Chris Webber. I knew in my heart that the relationship between Webber and Kings fans was on it’s last leg.

10. Dallas 141, Sacramento 137, 2OT
Game 3, 2003 West. Conference 2nd Round
May 10, 2003
Arco Arena, Sacramento

The Kings were limping home after the devastating knee injury to Chris Webber. Peja Stojakovic's greatest game as a Sacramento King, 39 points in 56 minutes, 5 of 10 from three point range was not enough. It was Nick Van Exel who absolutely would not allow the Mavericks to lose the game. Van Exel scored 40 points off of the bench. And his late in the shot clock daggers were just too much for the Kings to overcome. Somehow I remember Doug Christie playing the game as a true warrior. His play at the point guard in place of a struggling Mike Bibby kept the game close.
