Being that I'm into astronomy, I far prefer a starry night. There's just something about looking up at the sky, seeing thousands of stars, and knowing that the closest one is 24,690,246,000,000 miles away (4.2 light years).
One of the most beautiful sights up here is a starry sky on a clear summer night. Later this month, I'll be able to see the annual meteor showers and marvel at the majesty. I love the sunrise over the mountains and the sunsets when I visit Ft. Bragg, but a starry night viewed from my own back porch can keep me enthralled for hours.
