Survivor - thread revival

I don't know about anyone else, but this season's Survivor just hasn't seemed to capture my interest as much as previous seasons.

I'm not sure but I think it's the players involved. They simply aren't as colorful or interesting or diabolical as past contestants.

Is it just me or are these people just people you can't seem to give a dang about?

Agreed. I just can't get into it this season. i try, but I always end up turning the channell. I thought it would be interesting based on the first half of the fist episode but then it just got boring.

i'm still addicted, but i do have to admit, some of these people are the most BORINGEST survivors EVER. serisously. greg is hot, but he's boring. that girl that he's jocking is BORING, and has to be the worst survivor ever to get into the jury. all the intresting people got voted off. i loved coby, he was awesome, but he got canned. angie was awesome, but she got canned. too many quiet people. it needs a rat, a johnny fair play ( LOL! VF21's fav survivor ever * i am so kidding* ) quiet, boring and it seems like everyone is from the south ( no knock on any one from the south, just pointing out all the twangs)

and i'm still depressed that my man ( bobby jon) is gone. he was by far my favorite survivor hottie, and there have been some hot survivors, but he tops them ALL.

i hope steph wins. but she looks to be big time on the rocks. she barely made it out tonight, janu saved her bacon by quitting. i want some GOOD competition in the final 4, those loser girls from koror won't put up any kind of fight. they are just boring, lazy and never try in any of the competitions. they just plain suck and i will be big time pissed if they get farther then steph.

if not steph, then please greg. anyone but tom, i can't stand him.

My thought now is that Steph is in the perfect position to totally wreak havoc. My first item on the list would be to break up the cutesie couple. Couples are dangerous. Look at Rob and Amber...

Evenstar, you are bad...but correct. I totally detested Jonny Fairplay, even before he pulled the old "feel sorry for me because my Grandma died" thing... He actually made my skin crawl.

I have noticed that Jeff is really getting into people's faces more this season than in the past. It's almost like he's acting as a referee in some cases, which is fine with me.

I was glad to see Janu leave. I was actually beginning to worry she might end up room temperature before much longer.

Ya gotta love Steph... strong mind, body and soul... now she catches a break and KNOWS her back is against the wall. I still suspect she will dissapaer soon but she COULD inspire a mutany.

Agreed that this batch has been prety bland and the ones with personality are actualy anoying. Can you immagine if the singing teacher ahd NOT been left unpicked on day one?

for sure. i like it too. he really got on everyone's case after they were joking around about janu after she quit the challenge on last night's show. sounding like open mikie night at the comedy club, i loved it. it SHUT everyone up right away.

Tom is irritating as eff. Five bucks says that he was the team captain of his H.S. football team and homecoming king to boot. I can't stand winners like him. His whole life has probably been like the dynasty of the Yankees. Yuck!

Anyway, I can't stand any of the people except for that hottie left over from the other tribe. Steph? I hope she wins.

well tonight is the finale, final 4 are tom ian katie and jen

this has to be one of the most boriest fianl 4 ever, jen is by far the worst final 4 contestant EVER.

i'm rooting for ian since no one else is worth rooting for, but he won't win since he won the car ( the person who wins the car has NEVER won the whole shebang)

I thoroughly and completely enjoyed last night's finale.

The idea that Ian would take himself out of the final two to prove he values friendship and self-respect more than winning was jaw-dropping.

The final showdown between Tom and Katie was interesting, to say the least. I was glad Tom won - although he was a bully at times and clearly irritating at others, he was pretty honest about just being Tom and playing the game to win.

How interesting was it that Coby is now a Dad, having adopted his cousin's newborn child?

Lots of good stuff came out of that final show, IMHO.

And Guatemala as the next destination? Amid Mayan ruins?

Way cool!

I stopped giving a dang about this show a couple of seasons ago after being an ardent fan. I just got tired of the same old, same old, over and over again. The fact that people are being rewarded for being the best liars and deceivers (and that just got more worse with each season) became such a turn-off after awhile.

tom winning was no surprise, but damn they were MEAN to katie in the final tribal councel. greg was a total meany.

coby adopting a baby girl was such a cute story, even cooler that he named her janu. she was SO happy!!!!

i can't wait for the next one, that will be SO cool in guatamala!!! living in the mayan empire ruins, that is going to be so gorgeous to watch.

I stopped giving a dang about this show a couple of seasons ago after being an ardent fan. I just got tired of the same old, same old, over and over again. The fact that people are being rewarded for being the best liars and deceivers (and that just got more worse with each season) became such a turn-off after awhile.

That's why this season ended up being one of the most interesting in a long time. The liars and deceivers, as you call them, were pretty much exposed for what they were. Tom did something really interesting - after being lied to and finding out about it after the fact, he started making a point of confronting people when told stories. For example, if Katie came to him and said Ian told her such and such, Tom took Katie to Ian and they put it all out on the table. Pretty different way of handling things - and one that really put a new twist on some of the shenanigans going on behind the scenes.

For all you Survivor fans out there... The Original Survivor Sseason 1 will be on OLN starting July 24th. There was a link on OLNTV but they are redoing the site and I couldn't find it.
