So for all you Summer League fanatics out there, they have released the Summer League schedule.

They will be playing 5 times on the follow days:

Friday (July 13th) 7pm vs Charlotte
Saturday (July 14th) 5pm vs Lakers
Monday (July 16th) 3:30pm vs Rockets
Wednesday (July 18th) 3:30pm vs Toronto
Thursday (July 19th) 3:30pm vs Boston

As always I'll be in attendence for all five of these days.

There will be 24 teams competing while playing 60 games.

All 60 games will be televised by NBA TV and 39 of the games will be televised live.

My favorite week of the year is rapidly approaching.

I'd like to go, even if only for a few days. I'll have to think about that. Where's a good place to stay, those of you who have gone in the past?

I think CruzDude is looking to get a place right next to the Thomas and Mack center, so you could theoritically walk there. My guess is the rooms will be cheap.

My wife and I always stay at the Stratosphere then drive to the Summer League games. (About 5-10 minute drive)
Even though we didn't have the Summer League schedule, we booked our rooms 2-3 days ago.

The Weekday price for the room was $32 a night and we'll be there from Friday 13th to Sunday 22nd. (We'd be willing to drive anyone to/from games if they ended up staying at the Strat, though we tend to arrive for the 1st game and stay till the last game, regardless of which game the Kings play on that day)

We won't be going to the Summer League games on the days that the Kings don't play, since those days are reserved for my wife to pick out what she'd like to do while we are there.

I don't think CruzDude was planning on being there the entire week, but now that the schedule is out I'm sure he'll be chiming in on the days he'll be there, and I know he's trying to get a group together for potentially discounted rooms.

SUMMER LEAGUE SCHEDULE UPDATE:

The Friday-Saturday games are in the small Cox Arena, a small college court with seats only on the sides, all good seat tho'.

The Monday, Wednesday and Thursday games are all at 3:30pm and all are in Thomas & Mack Arena, the 15,000 seat full size arena. Great seats from every angle.

I think I like the Cox arena better. But easier to get a seat at the Thomas & Mack Arena.

Yep, I agree.

With Cox you get a much more intimite view of the court, but because it's smaller it can be more difficult to get 'perfect' seats, but really I've never had a problem finding seats which gave me a fantastic view.
Thomas & Mack is just much bigger, and it makes the game seem further away, though it's easier to find seats right at the half-court mark.

Any of the games scheduled to be NBA tv'd?

I just don't think I can realistically go this summer. Too much time off work. Drat! :(

However, next year, I'll be retired. The Kings better still be in Sac!
