Obviously YOU are the misinformed one. Of COURSE Chris didn't know the EXTENT of the knee injury. All HE knew was it hurt, and badly enough that he, at times, could barely walk after games. The POINT, which you seem wildly intent on missing, is that Chris did not make a HUGE point of making sure everyone knew that he was out there giving it a go, despite the pain. We all worried about his ankles, because that's the injury he had missed games because of. None of us were worried about his knee, we hadn't heard a peep about that. Turns out, his knee was a congentital defect, had been hurting him for YEARS, badly enough to sideline a lot of guys. Not, of course, Kobe, who would have played through it as well, but would have made damn sure the whole world KNEW he was playing through it. You have actually done nothing but prove the point with your arguments against it.
I am now going to bed, I find this argument to be specious, at best.
