Stephen Curry Game tonight

i know that Warriors are basically about offense and are like us not that good but,
meaning Curry tonight-- against Clippers "again not the best team"

36 Pts
10 rebounds
13 assist
7-11 3 pointers
3 steals
6 TO

dang hes good!!

i watched the game, wow... he hit 7 threes... the only downside was that he had 6 turnovers but besides that he had an amazing game.

Still wouldnt trade Reke for him...Haha.

But yeah, kids heating up....Might even make the race a close one. Beastly statline.

6 TOs= Not a point guard. I think we should trade Sergio to them for this guy so they have one.

that's obviously a big game...but the triple double is also pretty cheap.

Stephen Curry played 46 minutes in this one. They beat the Clippers by 30. The lead was 36 going into the 4th quarter. No Clipper played more than 31 minutes. And the 4th quarter was run by none other than our old friend Bobby Brown. Now Curry already had his 36 going into the final quarter -- and had already played 34 min. But that triple double is the result of some serious stat padding. You want to acuse Reke of stat padding for leading a near comeback against the Spurs. Try staying in the game while going almost the whole way to get your triple double over a crap team's backups while you have a 30pt lead.

Would have bet money that Evans would be the first rookie with a triple double; have to agree about Curry's being "tainted," though.

Curry should own the #2 rookie slot at this point. Of course, Jennings may shoot below 30% for a month and still win EC Rookie of the Month over, uh....Taj Gibson, I guess.

Tyreke definitely creates shot opportunities with his penetration and he would definitely have a triple double (or a few of them) by now if his team mates would just make the shots.

I totally agree that he shouldn't have played that many minutes in a blow out game, but I did see bits and pieces of the game...and the Warriors only had 4 players on the bench if I'm not mistaken. I don't wanna say it's "stat padding", I guess they had no choice but to play him considering they didn't have very many options on the bench. But, I do wonder if he could get that triple-double playing, considerably, less minutes.

Of course the question I have now is what does Monta Ellis do for $11 million that Curry can't do already as a rookie? Both are capable of putting up huge numbers in 46-48 minutes a night (Don Nelson has completely gone psycho) and both are combo guards. You've got to think they'll have to move Ellis sometime soon and build around Curry now don't you? And if that is the case, have they really taken a step forward or are they just treading water with another crazy undersized scoring star who's never going to win anything for them in the playoffs? Being a Warrior fan must suck.

Not as bad as you make it seem. First off, they should get a decent player back for Ellis, so they would be moving forward and not sideways. And second, I think Curry is much more of a PG than Ellis. Watching Curry, he has a much more instinctive feel for the game and a very high basketball IQ. He'll be a good player for them, but ultimately more of a #2 or 3, not a superstar.

Really his game kind of reminds me of a rich man's Kevin Martin at this point.

they only had like 8 players in uniform that night... 5 on the court and 3 on the bench... curry was going to be playing big minutes that night.

Not really. He's a great shooter and is slight of build (which I guess brings the martin comparison), but he brings so much more to the table than martin. If anything, to me he seems like a little more in the nash realm...although a little more agressive with his shot and a little less instinctive with his court vision.
