Dime Dropper

Updated: June 26 -- 4:01 p.m. ET

The Spurs sent an e-mail to every team in the league at 3:30 p.m. saying that they were willing to move the 26th pick. The e-mail asked league executives to "E-mail us your interest and your offers to 26."

That's the first time I've heard of something like this in all of my years covering the draft.

So that's a pretty bold move by Spurs. Savvy too. Should be abit of interest in that pick so they'll field offers and take the best one if it's good enough.
26 is right around the deep area. Some intriguing guys could be there - Batum, Thompson, Ajinca, CDR etc.

I'm not going to hold my breath. I'm expecting some other team to acquire the pick for next to nothing.

Dime with the scoop all the way from Ireland. Nice pick up.

Pretty much a 0% chance the pick will be headed our way though.

I have my sources ;)

On an actual serious note, I realise we won't get it. I'm just bracing myself to be very annoyed if/when a team buys it or trades trash for it.

How can the Spurs pass up Kenny Thomas..Seriously, they'll have the only guy who can guard Tim and they'll be on the same team. lol Sorry for my sillyness, it's the lack of activity this year that's gotten to me :D :o
