The No. 1 team? Duh. But should the Finals runner-up Magic automatically be second to the champion Lakers? If not for a Cavaliers conundrum, Dave Del Grande might've bumped up the Nuggets in his post-playoff Power Rankings.

I watched on league pass all year so I got the opposing teams announcers half the season. They raved about our young Frontcourt and how good they are now and how much better they could be in the future. This guy spins our frontcourt to be a downside to the franchise. Odd.

How is this "new"; the big thumbs down for the Knicks is Marbury... he is a Celtic last time I checked.

Wow -- the comments for almost every single team were just ridiculous. I don't know this writer, but now having seen his work I don't want to -- not sure he knows the NBA at all.

Does "special to CBSSports.com" mean he's free lance and did it for free? That's the only reason I can think of they'd post this... Fault with his opinions is one thing but making basic errors (such as what team a player is on) is inexcusable. Of course, he could be another 14-year-old trying to make it in the big time...

:p

Where did he do that? Not to defend the article, but I didn't see any player assignments that were actually erroneous. He did name four traded players in his "thumbs down" sections (Iverson, J. O'Neal, Marion, Morrison), but noted that the player had been traded all four times. Add in Marbury and Carlesimo who were dumped mid-season and that's the extent that I saw. It seems OK to me to give the biggest "thumbs down" to a player/coach so disappointing they were traded or cut.

The Marbury "thumbs down" didn't indicate anything about Marbury being dumped mid-season. And blaming Marbury for the Knicks problems gives a pass, IMHO, to Isiah Thomas, whose dirty little thumbprint is going to haunt the Knicks for a long time...

But that's a small part of what I don't like about the article, to be honest. It's one of those freelance-type pieces that takes up a lot of space to say absolutely nothing.

I know I used to hear the name Dave Del Grande regularly on 680 several years ago before MP3 players when I still listened to the radio. :p He was either a frequent guest or he did the top of the hour updates or something.
