I belong to the NBA's Fan Forum and they asked us for our opinions on the use of sponsor logos on the jerseys.

I honestly do not want to see any sponsor logos on the jerseys. This picture could give us an idea of where a sponsor's logo, and its size, could be placed on the jerseys.

Neither do I although the 2 x 2 patch in the corner is a decent compromise. You just have to shake your head when you see what they do in the WNBA, MLS, International basketball and European soccer. I mean seriously, does Ginobili, Delfino and Scola play for Argentina or "VISA"? I wouldn't know from looking at the jersey as VISA is splashed in large letters across the front or at least it was that way prior to these Olympics and an Argentinian patch is hidden in the corner where the new NBA ads will go.

European soccer is pretty bad as there are multiple ads for multiple companies, all in large letters on both the front and back of the jerseys.

MLS and WNBA are tied for the worst in the USA. The LA Galaxy has "HERBALIFE" across the front and I can barely see the Galaxy patch and it's not the Seattle Storm of the WNBA but rather the Seattle BING.

I guess I'd feel better about our patch if MLB, NHL or NFL did it first but being the ad pioneer of the Big 4 is just another thing that is going to give the NBA a bad name.
