I'm still new here, I didn't know, I will be more careful about when to start a new thread

That's okay, stooojakovic. I think a lot of us are just a bit too testy these days.

Part of the problem may well be that we are getting so many new fans who are also new to message boards. The last thing we want to do is dampen someone's enthusiasm about finding a community of like minded fans.

Not everyone is an expert on the game of basketball. Some people find us and are so excited about finding us; about learning more about the game; about finding others with which to share their love of the Kings, etc, etc, etc. Maybe we could be a bit more patient with each other.

It is true that members should always read back a couple of pages to see what topics are already being discussed before opening new threads. However, if they don't find what they are looking for, be okay with their starting a new thread.

And we would all do well not to be critical of other's thread topics. We have over 1400 members, folks. Many, many of them are active. Expect differences in opinion on what topics are exciting; what topics are dull; what topics are "necessary"; and, what topics are "unnecessary."

Bottom line.....this is a great community of fans. One of the reasons we are great is the respect we show each other, as well as our knowledge of the game. We are a "family" of different ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Many parents allow there children to be a part of this family because they know that their children are among polite, decent human beings. If you don't fit that bill, then maybe we are not the place for you. I don't happen to think that is the case though. Please, just remember who we are as a community before you click on the "Submit Reply" button.

6th - In all fairness to EVERYONE concerned, I think the other side of the coin is that the newbies sometimes step all over the toes of the people who have been here a long time because they don't know the "lay of the land" so to speak. You made some good comments, but I think the new people should keep in mind that some of us have been around for a very long time and we're still here because we like the board the way it is...
--------------------------------------------------------
I would like to remind everyone that we have the "refer a post" function for a reason. If you have a problem or concern about a particular post, thread or member, please use it. Bricklayer and I cannot be on the board 24/7, but we do review the "refer a post" comments as soon as we can.

I'm closing the thread. As 6th said, we have a great community of fans here. Let's just keep that in mind and everything should be fine. If it's not, that's why Bricklayer and I are here...

GO KINGS!!!!!
