does anyone know like any website where you can find the song you want to find.... like even if you don't know the name of the singer ?

If you know some of the lyrics, you can put them into Google. For example, let's say you know the song has "rolling on the river" in it. Simply type those four words into Google, and Whoop! There it is! Proud Mary by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Try allmusic.com. You can search by song names and find anyone that recorded them, get artist bios, etc. Really helpful for trying to track down cover songs for that reason. Its kind of the imdb of music.

I do the google trick if I can't even get a song name.
 
There was a site mentioned here at Kingsfans (I think) where you could tap your spacebar to the beat of the song and it would try to figure out what song you were tapping. Good if you don't know the words and only know the tune (and you are good at tapping your spacebar).

RD - what exactly are you looking for? A site where you can tap out the dialogue on your keyboard? Or just where you can look up actors, movie names, quotes, etc. If so then imdb.com is the best site for movies. Then maybe rottentomatoes.com.

And usually wikipedia has decent analyses of important films.
 
Alright...gotta address the song tapper thing. That site is clueless. I sat down and tapped in about 10 obvious songs and didn't get even one match. My rendition of Free Fallin' by Tom Petty was perfect!! I guess it requires people to teach it over time. I teach junior high kids all day...no time to teach rhythm to a website!

I guess I should consider the possibility that my own rhythm is off?

I also like www.joblo.com, which has scripts, trailers, and a bunch of stuff you won't find anywhere else.

The only song I was able to tap out and have it recognize is Jingle Bells (which I saw listed on the most tapped out songs). And I tried to stick with recognizable songs.

I think part of the problem is what do you tap out? The music? The vocals? A combination of both? Do you need to hold the space bar down when notes are held in the song?
 
I tried tapping out "Happy Birthday to You". Amazing the variety of answers I got. One of them was "Happy Birthday to You." So I'm not hopeless. :p

There were also numerous xxx-rated song titles that I just can't believe are real songs. ;) The one that cracked me up tho, was "House of the Rising Sun." I never knew before that one of these tunes must've been plagiarized from the other!:eek:

No, I'm looking for some kind of movie site for when you want to find a movie, but you don't know the title of or much other info about it. IMDB you have to know at least some info about it in order to look it up.

I guess that's what message boards are for. If I am still stumped after searching on imdb I'd probably just post a plot summary and hope someone could tell me what it was. I'd probably go somewhere like dvdtalk.com and ask since I could also find out if its even available that way (I've never actually had to do this).

I did that on imdb. I've never heard of dvdtalk, I'll have to try that one as well.
